Nowhere on their website does it say this campground is closed for the season, but when you call, their outgoing message tells you this news. They should save travelers the time of browsing their website and give this detail up front. They are also listed on the Good Sam app, which says they are open all year. Not.

Went camping for 4 nights and 5 days! Had a great time. The campground was very nice and the people at the office and store were very friendly and helpful! There was a lot to do within the campground and the many sites of the battlefield were close by!

We were there with another couple last weekend and placed in sites next to the horse area. My friends were told..."I hope you plan on picking that up" meaning dog poo...which they were planning to do! But what bothers me is that there is horse poo everywhere...to walk my dogs we had to dodge it to get to an area... More

My family stayed here while on a short vacation. We arrived in Gettysburg and made our very first stop at the visitor center to get some info about the surrounding area. We told the guide we were staying at artillery ridge I which they replied, we couldn't get any closer to the battlefields. We left the visitor center and less... More

Spaces were large. limited Internet available. only able to pickup 3 over the air channels. OK since we were there for the history. Horse stables onsite so we were able to take our riding tour from the campground. Definitely come in on 15 bypass. DO NOT come through town! the turns in town are tight and difficult to manage with... More

The location of this campground is good, hiking and biking distance from the battlefield and visitor's center and about a mile from downtown. We used the free tickets for the Gettysburg Diorama, Spirits of Gettysburg, and the Lincoln Train Museum. They were all entertaining in a kind of corny touristy way. We stayed Labor Dat weekend so the campground was... More

This is a lovely little campground. We stayed here in a motorhome for 3 days with Passport America discount for $29 a day. Free tickets for three attractions in Gettysburg were included with our stay. We rode our bikes 3 miles into Gettysburg, you can either ride down straight down Taneytown rd. Or wind through the National Park. We chose... More

Nice camp ground. Grounds could have been maintained a little better. Grass needed cut. Also pool closed at 8pm on a Saturday evening. You would think on a Saturday night in August at least til 9. Very close to battle grounds.

We stayed at this campground in July for Gettysburg Bike Week and we found this place to be very nice and the staff was spot on. Nice campground to take an evening walk down to watch horses. All of campers were very friendly aswell. If there is a "con" it would be that some of the camp site are bunched... More

We camped in the 400 section in a 30 ft TT. We had a pull through site with full hookups. The campground is also good for tents, big rigs, and horse campers. Interior roads are gravel, not too dusty, one lane in some parts. We did not investigate restrooms, pool, or other amenities while there. We enjoyed the ample space... More
