My wife and I were visiting Gettysburg with another mature couple over an extended weekend to visit the battlefield, etc. We wanted a small B&B with charm which was away from noisy tourist crowds, but not too far away. The Raphael Inn met our needs admirably. With just three guest rooms, the Raphael allowed plenty of personal attention from the... More

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely comfortable and were given a really sincere welcome by Alexandra and George! We got lots of great local advice and our visit here with Alex and George made our trip to Gettysburg complete. Our room was beautiful, spotless and the most comfortable bed we have slept in. We are travelling through USA... More

Our family had the most wonderful stay at the Raphael Inn. Alexandria and George were so kind, giving and caring of our time in Gettysburg and at the inn. Wonderfully decorated into themed rooms with very comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast. A bonus was their two family hounds, Ollie and Heidi. A wonderful place to stay and come back... More

Wonderful, clean, homey B & B. All rooms have private baths and Alex prepared a most delicious breakfast. Mascot (dogs) Olive and Heidi make you feel right at home. George and Alex are so friendly and warm - they can't do enough for you to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They even packed us a sandwich for the... More

Lovely owners, very friendly & welcoming! The house is cute, all the amenities (TV, AC, WiFi) and very close to town yet not a noisy/busy street. It's within easy walking distance to historic sites and if you're a big walker you can walk out to the battlefields. Wonderful stay I hope to come back again soon!!

Both Alexandra and George went over and above to ensure our stay was relaxed and memorable. Boy, was it! Feel we have made new friends from afar. Their dogs Olive and Heidi were the icing on the cake. The breakfasts were so beautiful and delicious! They are truly living their passion and I plan on visiting again! Thanks so much!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Raphael Inn for a long weekend in March 2016. George and Alex were some of the most friendly and welcoming people I've ever encountered, not just when traveling but EVER!! The house and rooms are very clean, cozy and have just the right amount of a historical feel. The food is out of... More

This B and B features an eclectic mix of romantic and charming antiques and collectables. Alex and George were wonderful hosts, taking time to get to know us, and thanks to them, I saw the most amazing display of fireflies that I've ever seen in a nearby battlefield. Breakfast next morning started with a fresh fruit and quick bread compote... More
