We had an amazing stay at The Gaslight Inn. It was literally a gun’s shot from the historic battlefield and was in walking distance to restaurants and other tourist sites. We were fortunate to book the only first floor “garden room” which had a private entrance down the walkway from parking. The room was restored beautifully and was immaculate! The bathroom was large and was up to excellent disability standards. The breakfasts were of high quality and the daily homemade goodies were exceptional! We appreciate the use of the refrigerator and thought the full time open coffee bar and ice access area was convenient and helpful. The only thing we might have used if there would have been a microwave to heat up a midnight snack, but we really didn’t have to have that. We would surely stay here again if we come back to Gettysburg. 5-star A-plus ratings for sure! Thank you!

Choosing a place to stay that provided rooms that were carefully cleaned and sanitized during the pandemic was a concern for us. We felt that a B&B would be more reliable than a chain hotel or motel. Additionally, we needed a room that was handicapped - accessible. The Gaslight Inn was the perfect destination!
Our room was on the ground floor with no steps to the patio and dining room and parlour. The bathroom has plenty of room, with grab bars in the shower and beside the toilet.
The innkeeper were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, and our afternoon snacks were yummy! We can't say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful inn! Check out their photos on their website!

Room Tip: The only B&B in Gettysburg that we found that had an ADS handicapped accessible room.

We spent two nights at The Gaslight B & B. The B & B is centrally located to all Gettysburg has to offer. The owners, Michael and Jennifer, made a delicious breakfast and yummy cookies in the afternoon! During this unique time with Covid, the B & B provided hand sanitizer and required masks in the common areas to protect their guests. I would definitely recommend The Gaslight B & B and we hope to return in the coming months.

The room was very romantic and comfortable, high quality furnishings and bedding. It felt like an escape into a magical world just for us. The staff is very kind and acomadating. We had home baked cookies on arrival ice and bevarges. Their towels are do fluffy. Breakfast food was fresh hand prepared and the best we've had at a b and b. The whole house is emaculate and impressive lots of seating inside and on the balconies and courtyard to mingle with other guests or just enjoy the home. We will definitely be having other stays here and highly recommend it.

This is such a wonderfully maintained Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I stayed two nights and were delighted with the location as it was easy access to downtown Gettysburg but as it was on a side street is was very quiet as well.

The house itself is extremely charming, clean, and very welcoming. Our rom was amazing and we were delighted with the jacuzzi and the gas fireplace.

Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and prepared with great care by Mike who is one of the owners. We also had a afternoon snack and water waiting for us in our room each day.

A contactless check in was conducted due to the current COVID situation and it is very obvious that it is important to the owners to follow all COVID recommendations. We had no concerns at all about staying here due to the policies that are in place to keep everyone safe.

We visited Gettysburg for the 1st time in May 2021 for 2 nights/ 3 days. So happy we stayed at The Gaslight Inn B&B. When we arrived in our room, it was clean, beautifully decorated, fresh water & homemade pastries left on a tray for us! Each day you find a different treat after your daily adventure. The grounds are so lovely! The yard is so beautiful, a place to relax! Breakfast is incredible, not only is it delicious gourmet breakfast, the service is outstanding & the atmosphere is a peaceful. All enjoyed by maintaining COVID19 social distancing, masks worn when walking throughout the Inn. I felt safe & absolutely loved the decor & appreciated the friendly greetings from our Inn Keeper, Michael. Looking forward to returning & highly recommend.

This B&B is top notch. Every morning at 7:30, coffee was served in the lobby. There is an adorable, covered porch where you can sit and drink your coffee. During my trip, experienced guides spoke with the guests downstairs from 8 to 9 a.m. and did question and answer sessions and provided information about Gettysburg. You can rent a guide to drive you around in your vehicle, which I highly recommend. At 9:30 a.m., a delicious breakfast was served in the formal dining room, complete with cloth napkins and candlelight. I stayed in the Clover Room. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a balcony adjacent to it, which faced the beautifully manicured backyard. The B&B is very clean and immaculate. Location is within walking distance to several nice restaurants, shops and ice cream parlors. Location is a short drive from the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center & Museum, and Little Round Top. Their website is very helpful and informative.

We were 2 couples on our annual trip to Gettysburg in October, in the year of Covid. Michael answered all of my concerns when I called prior to our trip. Alas, we felt quite safe during our stay. This B&B is in a great location, just a short walk from the square with shops and restaurants and the local farmers market. Our room was well appointed with quality bedding and great steam shower. And the best part was that our room opened to an outdoor covered deck. We were quite content staying here and the breakfasts Michael prepared were delicious. We have stayed in many B&B's in our 20 years visiting this great town. The Gaslight is a great place to stay. There is comfortable seating outside in many different areas and quieter since it is located on a side street. Michael and the staff were very accommodating and kind. Thank you for a great stay! See you next year!

The Gas Light Inn is the place to stay in Gettysburg if you want the feel of a quaint period style feel of the Gettysburg experience. Mike and Jen are wonderful hosts and the Breakfasts here are 5 star! Our stay in the Clover room was great and we enjoyed cocktails on the veranda each evening over looking their beautifully landscaped backyard. We visited during the pandemic and felt very safe with their efforts towards our health while maintaining a warm comfortable stay. Mike is quite the History buff if you want details from the battle there. This place is a definite return.

We had a 3 night stay at the Gaslight Inn, during the week (Mon, Tues, Weds). The inn was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located for walking around town and to historic points of interest. Covid protections were in place, making us feel safe and comfortable. Michael is a lovely host and cooks a great and bountiful breakfast! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious and he was attentive to my egg allergy, delivering excellent alternatives. The breakfast muffins and breads were yummy and every night a sweet treat was left in our room. What we didn’t eat there we took home! Michael also gave us good advice on restaurants in town Gettysburg is a fascinating place to visit and the park service does a terrific job of teaching and explaining everything about the historic three day battle. After very full days of touring and walking the battlefield, we really enjoyed coming “home” to the inn for a glass of wine (that we brought and were able to stow in the inn’s fridge) and a rest before dinner. Had the weather been a bit warmer and a lot less windy, we would have enjoyed sitting on the great porch or on the backyard patio with a view of the lovely flower garden.

I have not stayed at the Brickhouse but I can tell you for certain that you will be so happy with the Gaslight! Everything was perfect and the innkeepers are phenomenal. We loved breakfast every day, and if you get a room like the Clover room in the back, you have the balcony overlooking the garden. It is so peaceful. Go there! (We went in June 2020)

How far is the inn from the battlefield?
Answer from Eli_lilly0812

It’s a block and a half from the Culps Hill portion of the battlefield. The battlefield is 6000 acres so most is a short drive, 5 minutes at most.

Yes. There is a phone number on the Gaslight website--also pictures of each room. Family is happy to be called. That is how I reached them.
