We recently spent two nights at this hotel, and it was fantastic. We had a suite with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The staff is very nice, and they bring you a cheese plate with fruit and chocolate on your arrival. For breakfast, they supplied fresh muffins, OJ,and cake. For a treat, they gave us freshly baked chocolate chip...

Thank you for your enthusiastic review of our hotel! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us! I am always glad to hear that our guests are enjoying all that Gettysburg has to offer - being in the center of town makes it so easy to just walk out the front door and find something to do! We just returned home from a weekend in Gettysburg, PA where we stayed at the James Gettys Hotel. Our choice to stay there was based on a Living Social offer- so we did not do much research- the pictures were beautiful, location was good, and other reviews were glowing. Well, all I can add is that it was one of...

I got our reservations via Living Social, such a great deal but realy surprised when we got attention a few times via email even before we left for our trip. The great parking in front of the hotel, extremely friendly staff greeting us at the door, help in with bags, directing us to a permanent parking space, then the best...

Thank you so much for your glowing review of our hotel! We enjoyed having you as guests and are thrilled to hear those three little words, "we will return"! I'm so glad you enjoyed the Union Hotel Suite - I always love how much sunlight the rooms on that side of the building are given, despite facing the neighboring building....

We also purchased our getaway on LivingSocial and were completely blown away by the hotel and it's staff. We stayed in the James Troxell Suite, and it was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and full of amenities we really weren't expecting. The fresh muffins, cakes and fruits for breakast were delicious, and the fruit, cheese and chocolate plate upon arriving hit...

Thank you so much for your kind review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, even if your visit was too short. There is so much in Gettysburg to see and do, I think you're right that you will need more time to explore everything! I hope you will visit us again soon! Sincerely, Catriona

We purchased our getaway for The James Gettys Hotel through LivingSocial and weren't quite sure what to expect....Well, not only was this hotel top notch so was the staff. The room we stayed in was super clean and everything we could ask for. The homemade breads, muffins and fresh juice daily was such a nice treat. This was our first...

My wife and I had been thinking about a close, weekend getaway we could do for a couple of weeks when I got an email from Living Social advertising the James Getty Hotel. I looked up the location, local activities and restaurants and decided to go for it. Our experience from start to finish was outstanding. The hotel was BEAUTIFUL...

We've been staying here off and on since 1997, and we've never been disappointed. It's an old building, totally redone in the mid-90s. Most or all of the rooms are spacious two room suites and they are very comfortable. Big living room/kitchen with a nice cold breakfast provided each day. It's a block off the main square of town, nicely...

Oh, we will be back. First time at JGH. They knew it was our anniversary--flowers, chocolates, champagne in the room waiting. The hotel was as clean as my house, and that is a huge compliment :) Pleasant, accomodating, ideal location, charming, staff SO friendly. I hope we make this an annual celebration.

My husband and I needed a long weekend getaway, and even though we live about an hour away from G-Burg, we love to go there! Got a really great deal on a 2-night stay, but had no idea what to expect. I must say we were blown away! The room (Sign of the Buck Suite) was fantastic, the service great...

My boyfriend and I just spent a few days in the Blue Parrot Tearoom Suite. The hotel was so comfortable and the staff was super nice. Gettysburg can be a little empty in winter, but it was kind of nice to not fight crowds everywhere (although we did have a problem with some restaurants/shops not being open). The hotel is...
