We spent 3 nights in the Blue Parrot Tearoom Suite. It is a very large suite located on the top floor of the hotel. Fortunately there is an elevator. It is nice to have food prep facilities in the room. Having some place to spread out at the end of a long day of sight seeing is very nice. And... More

We have been regular guests of the James Gettys Hotel for many years. What brings us back year after year is the dedication and attentiveness of its staff. Without exception, Trisha and her staff work hard to make our stay enjoyable. Whether it's the delicious baked goods delivered each day, or the cheerful smiles and willingness to accommodate any request,... More

Overview: Terrific hotel in the heart of Gettysburg. Our suite had a 18th Century period feel, was spacious and came with an efficiency, coffee maker, etc. Each day we had a basket of baked goods and cookies. There was OJ and cream in the fridge. Bedroom was separate from sitting area/kitchenette. Bathroom was sparkling clean, as were kitchen appliances. Trish... More

We enjoyed a wonderful time in Gettysburg during our stay. We were so glad that we selected the James Gettys Hotel for our accommodations!! From start to finish it was an exceptional experience with exceptional service!! The room was fabulous with a view overlooking main street, and everything was inviting, comfortable, and clean. The continental breakfasts were amazing! The owner... More

The room was spacious and had plenty of amenities. The location was great and everything was in walking distance to include the square. If you are a light sleeper I wouldn't get a room at the front of the building. The traffic (not as bad) and loud night walkers would be the negative to this hotel. Other than that I... More

We stayed in the Majestic suite for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier. The suite was spacious and beautiful. The king bed was so comfortable, as was the living room furniture. The bathroom was huge and the whirlpool tub was a welcome addition. We loved the breakfast basket, juice and coffee delivered to our room each day and the... More

Our first time staying over in Gettysburg. Love everything about this place...it's ambiance, the staff (Jennifer & Patricia were great hosts), the room (we stayed in the Majestic Suite - fantastic), the location. Breakfast baskets each morning, cookies each night. Great service - we had one issue when we checked in and it was addressed immediately. My ONLY complaint is... More

We spent two nights here while touring the battlefields, this was the perfect place to unwind and reflect after a long and emotional day. Located just off the square, it's perfect for a walk about town, near restaurants and shopping. Real coffee maker with delicious fresh ground coffee and home baked goodies delivered to your room.

The James Gettys Hotel is located right in the center of town and is the perfect location for a stay in Gettysburg. The battlefield is a short drive and Gettysburg College is a block away. The rooms are all suites with cooking range, microwave and refrigerators. You also get very nice pastries and juice for your breakfast. One of the... More
