My husband snd I just had a lovely little getaway in historic Gettysburg. This hotel was in a excellent location, the staff were friendly, and the room was nicely appointed. If you need WiFi, you might not be able to count on it. We called to see about it but never go access which wasn’t ideal for us.

I would recommend this hotel. My husband and I stayed in the Lincoln suite it was very clean and spacious. We didn’t hear any traffic noise because the room is located in the rear. The bathroom was amazing and my favorite part of the suite. The WiFi wasn’t very good in this room but better then in other rooms and floors according to our friends because they had none. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and we woke up a lot during the night. They provided parking but the spaces are a little tight. It is conveniently located to walk to dinner or other attractions. Would stay here again.

Such a pleasant surprise to see the transformation the Union Hotel has done. Our room was beautiful and perfect. Wifi was iffy but have hotspot and Gettysburg town wifi was strong. Loved the Nespresso maker and breakfast basket. Towels, linens and furniture was so nice. I also loved the contactless check-in. Great job.

We recently stayed at the hotel while traveling through Gettysburg. We were attracted by the many positive comments and reviews. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor in the front of the Inn. The noise from the traffic was terrible. Maybe if your room was elsewhere it would have been possible to sleep? Small other inconveniences... no wifi (in fact no signal at all in our room), used coffee pods, no hangers. Deeply disappointing.

James Gettys hotel is a Civil War era building that was witness to the famous battle. 4 stories tall and just a few steps to Lincoln Square, the hotel has 12 suites. While there is no restaurant, there are many good places to eat and drink within a short walk. There is an outdoor seating area. The property is well maintained and the rooms are quite comfortable. Lots of history all around you. Kamera Townsend was very friendly and helpful, and our every need was fulfilled. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. I definitely recommend this place when visiting this historic town.
