We had the Majestic Suite in the back on 2nd floor. There is a side entrance with steps on 2nd floor that leads to parking so it was very handy to be on this floor. Room was great, large sitting room with couch and a wet bar/kitchen area but no cook top in this suite Wich we didn't need anyway. King bed and pillows were very comfortable! Large bath with 2 person spa tub, shower, 2 sinks also. As far as outside noise you will hear things once in a while with all the activity in the area but nothing that ever bothered us. Parking is a bit tight but I was able to squeeze an extended cab truck in there so shouldn't be an issue for most. There was a nice selection of breakfast items and fruit left for us each day along with coffee for the machine and bottled water. Great location also, was easy to walk the square and surrounding areas to shop and grab dinner. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again!

This is a great hotel in the center of town. We stayed in the John Troxell Suite. Most suites have kitchenettes which is how we like to travel. The room was great and we traveled in the off season but there are still plenty of people arround. If you are sensitive to street noise, I would recommend that you stay in one of the suites located in the back. Fortunately for us, it was cold and there wasn't as much activity on the streets at night.

I couldn't give 5 stars, even though the hotel was great. Room: Lord Nelson As it was a suite, the room was wonderful with living room, small kitchenette and bedroom. The king size bed was very comfortable. The on-site parking in the back was convenient as you could walk through the alley way to get to the car. Even though the hotel was not a bed and breakfast, they did provide a bake good, small cup of fruit and orange juice. My issue with this is if you are going to offer this, provide enough for the number of guests registered...what was provided was enough for one person only. As the hotel was located in the main location, at night, you will hear folks next door that is a burger/bar place with outdoor seating. But overall, we loved our stay at James Gettys Hotel, and if we visit Gettysburg, we would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is made up of suites. Kitchenette has everything you need. Comfy bed and the place is spotless. The "breakfast" is the fridge is a nice touch. Close to shops and restaurants and short drive to the battlefield and other sites.

We had a lovely stay at the James Getty’s Hotel. A cute and clean room with fruits and juice in the fridge and cookies on the table welcomed us. The staff was friendly and the location was excellent. We’d definitely recommend staying here.
