This is my second time here with my sisters and friends, we pretty much take up the 2nd floor. Most of us grew up in the 50's so the 40's décor made us feel right at home, especially the kitchen, the gathering place. which is stocked with goodies galore that you can have any time of day. Barbara and her... More

My mother and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Gettysburg. The location is perfect, it is on Baltimore St, which is the major street through town with the most things to look at, the most history, where Lincoln traveled on his way to dedicate the cemetery (after staying the night at the Wills House, which you can tour).... The room was spacious and had all the amenities you would expect. Lots of towels in the bathroom. We loved all the pictures throughout the house and the fun old telephone in our room. Had a little trouble with one of the lamps, but got it to work with perseverance. Would have given this 5 stars, but was not enamored... More

First time staying in a B&B and it was a wonderful experience! Owners treated us like family; rooms are decorated like the 20's and 30's and ice cream in the shop downstairs is all made on site. Even with the temperature in the 90's we were able to walk to the Square Saturday morning and enjoy the Farmer's Market...

It was ok but: there was bubble wrap on the windows inside! The kitchen sink was dirty with a black film, no wash cloths for kitchen. The bathroom was large, nice area except: a claw foot tub with a cheap shower curtain strung on a circular rod around the tub. You had to go upstairs for the FREE breakfast which... More

We recently took a vacation to Gettysberg and stayed here. It was a lovely and fun place to stay right in town. Our room was comfortable and clean and quiet. The Inn has a very cute kitchen with snacks and breakfast fare for guests. We enjoyed meeting some of the other guests over our morning coffee. We recommend trying the... More

For the second year in a row, my family stayed at this bed and breakfast. Everything was so clean and owners/hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Last year we were celebrating my birthday. We returned to the room one afternoon to find a mug full of chocolates and balloons. This year we had champagne upon arrival and free ice cream.... More

This B &B is small, charming clean and pleasant. The rooms are very unique, filled with antiques. The bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. There is a breakfast/snack room available, filled with all sorts of goodies, teas, and drinks for the weary tourist to indulge any time of the day. The owner, Barb, was kind and helpful... More

Our family of 4 stayed here for a couple of nights. The location is fantastic - right in the middle of the town and within walking distances to most of the historic things to see and restaurants. The place is also very charming with an impressive collection of memorablia over the years. The room was comfortable enough; we thought it... More

This was my first visit to Gettysburg, and I am so glad that I chose to stay at A Sentimental Journey. It was right down in the village, with a very convenient private parking lot. My room was lovely with private bath, AC, WIFI, and a very comfortable bed. The kitchen on the second floor was well stocked with all... More
