Back in the day, this was a full Sheraton with a higher hotel class rating. Its location at Grant and the Boulevard puts it in the heart of Far Northeast Philly. Before my stay, I had been here when the hotel was a full Sheraton for a wedding reception. Following my stay, my impression is that, at the right price, this seems like a decent place although I stayed here a few nights during COVID, so not under normal conditions. It also tends to be overpriced for what it is at this point, which is not a four star hotel although it’s still much better than most area properties. Check-in and out were quick. No issues with staff although a Philadelphia Police officer was standing at the desk and signed some kind of log book. (So, maybe a history of incidents here requiring regular monitoring?) IIRC, I was given room 331, which is a room in an area of the hotel that is the farthest away from the elevators but next to a stairwell on the Grant Avenue side of the building. I would avoid rooms on the Grant Avenue side as the view is of nothing but an alley with shipping containers. Also, people use Grant Avenue for drag racing, so you have to listen to that all night long. The room appears recently renovated with decent stuff but installed by a lazy, crappy contractor. Very nice bathroom mirror with touch controls like a smartphone screen. However, the mirror was very crooked. Also, the shave portion of the mirror that I would have used to pluck my brows is a magnified portion of the main mirror that was too high for a shorter person and is definitely not accessible for people with physical disabilities, if that’s a concern. The room I was given was too far in the back of the hotel and didn’t feel particularly safe. It was reasonably clean. There was no “do not disturb” sign in the room. The hotel appears to have some amenities like a bar and exercise room under normal circumstances although everything is closed due to COVID. The neighborhood has plenty of food and shopping. There is a strip mall within walking distance with a Chipotle and Ulta. Other strip malls with Walmart and Target are a short drive away. Chik-fil-a is within walking distance and Wawa, Dunkin, and Starbucks are short drives away. In short, it’s an okay place to stay at the right price. Anything more than $90 a night may leave you feeling ripped off (and this place appears to usually charge $150).

We weren't expecting to have to leave our home overnight during the COVID-19 crisis. But when our power went out during a heat wave, we had no choice due to health concerns. We don't live far from this Marriot/Sheraton property, so we booked a room. Our room was really beautiful; clearly this hotel has had some recent renovations. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely. Due to COVID-19, some things were not available (for example, the pool), but this wasn't an issue for us. It was a very pleasant experience!

Stayed here 2 weeks for work. Breakfast is good. Rooms need updating. Getting in and out of hotel entrances can be difficult. Lots of businesses close, friendly staff. Had me stop by midweek to get breakfast coupons. They need to give all upfront to avoid waits. Also the digital key did not work

It was a very nice hotel. Well worth staying into. The hotel room was absolutely beautiful, with new futuristic style bathroom and nice modern bed styling and lamps. But you can tell the hotel was just renovated and certain aspects of the room you can tell was covered up with new items.. Now i didn't like the fact that my tub was clogged with hair and didn't want to drain. And there was a access point into the wall that kept opening and causing noises. Honestly it looked creepy in there and didn't want nothing jumping out of there lol. So i just put a trash bin in front of the opening. And also the shower head and the neck pipe to the shower head wasn't bolted to the wall. The shower head situation as well as the opening inside wall not being closed were small things i wasn't concerned about. It's the hair that clogged the tub that got to me! That's pretty nasty. Overall i enjoyed the look of the hotel and the room. Nicer modern look. The hotel reps were good as well! I had roudy guests on my floor. But i just went on about my business. Lol. The neighborhood is pretty busy and felt like a urban business area which was nice as well. Plus there was a WAWa around the corner. Overall I'll stay again if the hotel tidy's up on the repairs that weren't either finished due to just covering up the older versions of the hotel...
