The rooms are nicely furnished- with full-size bdds. Some rooms are very small and some quite large. Some of the beds are in a very old style and high enouhg off of th ground that you need a 2 step stool go easily climb in. Be ready to climb the steps to your room. Ask about these things when making... More

This B & B is located in the historic district of Philadelphia and is itself an historic property. That said, one should realize that certain modern accommodations, such as an elevator, will be absent. From the pictures of the rooms posted on the website, I expected the Benjamin Eldridge room to be relatively large. Instead, this room was quite small... More

Hi, Susan. We are about 1 mile from the Convention Center. It is very rare for me to come across a guest who does not prefer to walk to their conference, but on the occasion that I do, I do recommend the Subway which picks up a block and a half from here. We are up front about our location... More

If you are visiting Philadelphia for the historic sites, it makes perfect sense to stay at the historic Thomas Bond House. Entering definitely puts you in the 18th century mood. Perfect location, but the best was the lovely and attentive staff. Want to know about vegetarian restaurants? Just ask, and a list is thoughtfully placed under your door. Tips about... More

Thank you so much for your kind review, Sarah Jane. Philadelphia does have some AMAZING plant based dining options; I am so happy you enjoyed them. I was not here during your stay, but Sue and Craig enjoyed having you here. I am happy you did not need the ear plugs....some guests use them to block out snoring partners and... More

I booked 2 rooms for family for 4 nights. The staff were great. However, the building has no up to date air conditioning. All guests had to be provided fans but the temps in rooms were well above 80 degrees. So, not recommended to stay in really hot weather. The feeling is charming, but the common areas need cleaning (area... More

When we arrived in Philadelphia my husband was not feeling well. Chrissy, innkeeper for the Thomas Bond house, quickly found us an urgent care near by. LONG story short, my husband ended up in Jefferson hospital for a week. Our original stay had us at the Bond house for four days, they were able to accommodate us for an additional... More

Hi, Sandy. Thank you so so much for the kind review! It was only fair to not charge you for the 3rd person, since your husband had a room elsewhere, and while I wish it was here and not at the hospital, I am happy to hear he is doing better. The entire staff and Sue agree; daughter is a... More

We are staying here on a four day trip to Philly. It is so convenient to the places we wish to go to. There is a lot to do within walking distance from our place, including restaurants. You can also walk a few blocks to Market Street and take the Pflash bus.You can hop on and off it all day.... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Thomas Bond House B&B. The room was small but very clean and had all the amenities that you would need. The hot breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The B&B is located in the Old City within walking distance of Independence National HistoricPark.

The Thomas Bond House was very nice. Everyone was friendly. The only thing I was bummed about is that they don't serve hot breakfast during the week. I guess I missed that info when I checked it out. But isn't Breakfast the point of calling it a B&B?

Hi, Kelly. Thank you so so much for this wonderful review....it means a lot that you took the time to rate us.
