I had a very nice stay at the burbridge street b&b. Easy check-in. Marney is very friendly and a great hostess! The bed was comfortable and clean. The WLAN worked well. The room was also clean. I loved the breakfast at 8AM. There are many different types of bread. The neighborhood was quiet and the SEPTA station is close too.

Submitted by Susan Cooper Our room was cozy, comfortable and decorated appropriately to the period. Transportation was easy with the SEPTA train from the center of town. Marnie, the Innkeeper, is a host with warmth, friendliness and an incredible amount of knowledge of Philly. My favorite time of day was sharing her delicious, healthy breakfasts with her so I could... More

I spent a week visiting the Philly sights, and Marney was terrific with her suggestions -- great knowledge and love of the city, as well as how to get around easily. The room was perfect, clean and comfy with great night sleeps. Marney put a lot of effort into the breakfasts -- picture perfect cut up fruit, as well as... More

Owner is an old Biddy, house is old and dirty, shared bath is ancient, stairs and handrails unsteady, carpets smelly and dirty, cat smell everywhere, parked on the street not sure if my car would be there in the morning, neighborhood is filled with Italian Eggplants

My daughter and I had to fly into Philly to go to Children's Hospital for an emergency surgery for my 3 year old daughter. My insurance booked the B&B and when I arrived Marney told me she didn't usually allow kids under 13 but allowed us to stay. My daughter had a very hard time with surgery and I needed... More

We had such a lovely stay at Burbridge Street B&B! The moment we walked in I felt like I'd walked into a scene from Little Women -- the rooms are gorgeously made up and full of interesting paintings and antiques. Our three mornings were very well begun with a feasty breakfast. Slept wonderfully. Marney was fascinating company and gave us... More

We spent two nights here and absolutely loved the vintage feel of the surroundings in this historic home. It's very much like spending a few days with your favorite aunt and her friendly cats, a big plus for us. If you're allergic, be forewarned, but if you love cats, you will love it here. Unlike some B&Bs where you're left... More

This was my first stay at a B&B and I was most impressed with the cleanliness, decorating and the hospitality of Marney, who opens her home to travelers. The house is absolutely gorgeous and decorated with beautiful antiques I felt like I stayed in the heart of a little magical town, I was located very close to friends, family, Center... More

My best friend and I were enthusiastic about our stay at Burbridge Street B & B before we even got out of the car. Located within blocks of interesting shops and restaurants, on a cobbled street in a quiet neighborhood, the house itself is interesting in terms of both architectural features within, and the warm, entertaining and gracious owner Marney,... We stayed here for one night to be close to the Harry Potter Festival in Chestnut Hill. We weren't really in the room much since we had so much to do. Easy check-in, comfortable bed. Bathroom was shared but we knew that going in. Decent place to stay. *Be warned that there is a cat in the house who sleeps... More

Burbridge St. B&B prides itself on its warm hospitality. That includes a pair of welcoming kitties that act as hostess cats. With the best of intentions, there is no practical way to keep cats out of the rooms, as they are often invited to visit with guests who love a cuddly cat for company. If prospective guests are allergic to... More
