Hotel's Favorite
We stayed here only one night but would definitely stay longer next time. The suite was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at hotel. Lots of hot and cold choices. I have a gluten allergy, so I asked several questions. The ladies were hopping keeping everything filled and making sure everything was just right, but they cheerfully answered my questions so I could eat safely.

Don't get fool by the pictures posted online. Those pictures were of course taken when the hotel was just open it seems like. The hotel in person is far from what it shows on photos. Don't ruin your family's vacation staying in this hotel. Breakfast maybe included but not good, as in don't even try. The hotel smells weird, the room and bathroom is dirty & disgusting. The pool was not open and was never mentioned during during check in. Manager is rude. If you checkout earlier than what you book because the hotel's ambiance is unbearable- the manager Patrick will charge you for a penalty (regular price of the room). There are many hotels in the area and are walking distance away from all sights. Just BEWARE.

You can't beat the location of this hotel. We walked to the Historic area and the museum district, plus Reading Terminal is right across the street for easy meals. The front desk staff were very helpful, and the room was very spacious with lots of storage areas. We liked that it had a larger fridge and freezer as well as a small kitchen area and pull out table. We could get subs, salads, etc from the market and eat them in the lobby or in our room. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean (although the carpets do have some stains), and housekeeping was decent. A word of warning to families with younger kids... the toilet paper is located such that it is very hard for kids (and shorter adults!) to reach, so parents may need to help. The breakfast was good (pre-made sandwiches, cereal, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, and sometimes omelets or "bowls") but it would have been nice to have some more fruit, and there was one day when they ran out of milk. The pool was so tiny that I am not even sure why they bothered. It was closed part of the time we were there, and the other time it was so crowded and looked so dirty that my kids said they didn't want to go. The laundry was out of order for the entire time we were there, which was a problem because we were on a longer trip and only brought enough clothes for part of it. We planned to do a load or two while we were there. It would have been nice if an alternative arrangement had been made because we did run out of clean clothes. Luckily, our next hotel had nice laundry facilities!

This hotel has a great location in Philly, It has access to the best restaurants, attractions, museums, parks, and other important attractions. However, the very unpleasant, abhorrent, and despicable smell of bathrooms full of bacteria and fungus is a very good reason to never visit again. We switch rooms twice and I wouldn't be able to say which was worst.
