We had a wonderful stay here! Nathan and the other innkeepers were awesome! Very personable, friendly and helpful. Food was EXCELLENT, accommodations were great. Staying here definitely enhanced our trip! It was in a nice part of town, far as not in the middle of things but close enough to get around easily. Would recommend!
This place is a true gem. Staying here is an experience, not just a place to lie your head at night. Innkeepers Jill and Eric have thought of everything and are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. We could have talked for hours about the historic building, the neighborhood and Philadelphia sites. If you’re hesitant to book a b&b rather than a hotel, don’t be. You can come and go as you please and the breakfasts are not to be missed. On-street parking was easily found and is free (on the weekends) and safe. You can opt to park in their driveway for a small fee but you may not need to. Everything was clean and we felt safe as far as attention to Covid concerns. It’s in a superb location for Drexel and Penn parents and anyone looking to get to know Philly. The walk to the Philadelphia Museum of Art is only .7 miles. Room rates are reasonable. I have no negatives to mention. Our weekend stay in our beautiful room with a very comfortable bed was excellent.…
Great place to stay and walkable distance to UPenn. Inn keepers Lisa & Abraham took good care of us. The breakfast was something to look forward to, every morning. So yummy! A comfortable stay and we look forward to coming back. Thanks for making us feel at home.
When we arrived before check in, both inn keepers greeted us. They held onto our bags, so we could leave to meet our friend. They asked about our plans and recommended the Philadelphia Museum of Art. When we returned, we saw the innkeepers again, they asked about our day and told us they had put our bags into our rooms. Very nice service. The suite on the top floor was spacious and had a great bathroom. We didn't use the tub, but the shower had great water pressure, and we appreciated the separate sinks from the toilet and shower. Both bedrooms had comfortable beds, and both of us had comfortable beds. They left water bottles and two cookies. Didn't love them, but I am sure some do. One concern, if you have mobility issues, might be climbing the stairs to the top floor. The steps are small and twisty. The next morning, we had a very carb centric, delicious meal: strawberry covered French toast, OJ, smoothie with whip cream, and coffee. I enjoyed it, but I probably should have asked for some simple scrambled eggs. My friend told me to not worry about the calories though. I don't recall if we were asked if we wanted an alternative from the prepared breakfast. All in all, it was a great stay. It is a easy, but not attractive, walk to the Philadelphia Museum of Art which we went to on our second day. We had dinner in midtown the first night and took a 15 dollar Lyft. We didn't drive, so can't comment on the parking. We selected the hotel because it was on Select Registry.…
The staff were so friendly. We loved the place! If you like to walk you will enjoy this place because everything is within walking distance. If not the subway is close and Uber rides are pretty cheap and readily available. This is a very nice place to stay. The breakfast we had during our stay was amazing. 😊
Superb place to stay. The building is absolutely stunning and very well maintained. Our room was gorgeous. Very spacious and equipped with everything you needed. We loved the veranda and ate breakfast outside every day and used it to relax in the evenings. It is bed and breakfast but there is unlimited tea and coffee and snacks. Also home cooked cakes on offer too which were delicious. Staff were amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here
What an adorable and inviting place! Beautiful Victorian home, gorgeous garden, and it's within walking distance of the art museum. Jill and Eric were very hospitable. We were greeted with a warm welcome and so many snacks! So. Many. Snacks. In our two night stay there was a basket of snacks and tea downstairs, scones, and wine. The next day there were cake balls, biscotti and the most glorious coconut cake I've ever had. Breakfast was phenomenal both mornings and they were accommodating to dietary needs. Our room was comfortable, clean, and cozy. I'm so glad we opted for a stay here instead of a hotel, the experience was one to remember.
The moment we stepped into Cornerstone B and B we were greeted warmly and checked in and shown to our beautiful green Philadelphia room. We were treated like family not just guests. The room was amazing and cozy! We had a very delicious breakfast to. Cornerstone is a very beautiful place. We would love to go back and stay! Thank you Jill and Abe for the most delightful stay!😃
My husband and I had a delightful couple of days at the Cornerstone. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Our hosts (Abe & Lisa) were a delight. It was a pleasure getting to know them. They went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and the food was plentiful. Spend some time on the porch. You won't regret it! We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday.
This was our first time staying in a B&B. Staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Breakfast was better than anything you would get in restaurant. We stayed in Continental room. Perfect for me and my daughter. Location was great to visit campus we were able to walk to everything. Room was very comfortable, and clean. I would highly recommend for anyone staying in area.
