I stayed at this hotel as my husband went under a surgical procedure at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania. It is close to the hospital with onsite restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating my schedule and circumstances. They provided a complimentary meal one evening as I missed the restaurant and room service due to my late hour of arrival after leaving the hospital. I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay while visiting Philadelphia! Thank you very much to all of the staff for my making my stay as comfortable as possible during a difficult time of COVID and an inpatient hospital stay.
Then Inn exceeded all my expectations: modern decor and very clean, rooms are empty for 24hrs between guests, one family at a time in elevators, hand sanitizer everywhere, staff were courteous. It's a smaller size hotel. We felt safe (COVID wise) here! It's an awesome location if you're visiting U of P - which is literally across the street. There's a hip restaurant in the lobby - outdoor dining of course - and the neighborhood was lively on a Friday night. We felt very comfortable walking through the campus and all around it last night @8pm. Go!!!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here the other month. I had to write a review based off of our most recent stay. I was pleased with all of the precautions the restaurant was taking due to COVID19 and I think they really went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable with your stay. The rooms are absolutely lush and the bathroom is spacious and so well constructed. From the front desk to the staff in the hotel, everyone deserves a great review. Don’t forget to check out Louie Louie the restaurant downstairs. We were more than impressed with our meal and service. Thank you Inn at Penn for making our wedding anniversary a memory we won’t forget!
This is a very nice hotel. Arrival was painless. Valet parking efficient, friendly... but costly. Check in easy. Room spacious, modern and clean. The rooms were safety sealed after their covid protocol. You can get a digital key on your phone. Wifi free with Honors program membership. Food at affiliated restaurant Louie Louie was very good for lunch and dinner. Would have easily gotten five stars, but for two issues. First a billing error, which is presumably being corrected after a phone call. My fault for not checking bill until it was emailed to me after check out. Second, inept room service for breakfast. Ordered the night before for 9am. When nothing had arrived by 9:10, I called to ask why the delay? Answer: do you still want it? Why would I order it if I didn’t want it, I asked. Okay, but it will take at least 15 minutes more, which I didn’t believe. Decided to forget it and go to a Starbucks a couple if blocks away for coffee and donut for a fraction of the cost. A covid related issue? Perhaps, but still annoying and unforgivable. In short, will gladly stay here again, but will never order room service.…
I have stayed at the Inn at Penn for the last few weeks, the hotel is perfectly located on Penn's campus, the staff is so attentive, the hotel modern and clean. I had some very unique requests during my stay and the staff bent over backward to accommodate. I will always stay here when back in Philly.
