I used to live in Philadelphia; however, I moved away about six years ago. I came back for a quick visit and stayed one night on Sunday, July 14th. I was at this property years ago for a conference/event and several times at the restaurant; however, this was the first time I stayed at the hotel. The Hotel Palomar is a beautiful hotel, housed in the former Architect's building. The lobby is fun, quirky and beautiful. The location is central to everything you want to see in Philadelphia. I have to speak very highly of the staff. The person who checked me in and out was wonderfully pleasant. The housekeeping staff was great, and were very friendly when I came upon them in the hallway. The doorman and bell staff were also wonderful. It was also refreshing to often see someone in a supervisory or management role just standing out in the lobby greeting people, answering questions and just making sure everything goes well. The room was very nice. I was in Room 507. It is a nice sized room, well decorated and the décor was nice. The king sized bed was lovely. There is a nice mini bar and a regular sized desk. There are a whole bunch of things to use in the closet like a yoga mat, umbrella, robes, safe, etc. The bathroom was average sized and nicely appointed. (There is a slow leak in the bathtub of Room 507 though. I forgot to mention it at check-out. Could you check that out?) I had a lovely stay. I will be back to Philly in November. I hope to stay a bit longer at the Palomar.

My partner and I were displaced due to a fire and we had to find a place to stay very quickly that would accommodate our cat. They advertise that pets are welcome but I don't think that does it justice. The staff was so pleasant, understanding and empathetic during our whole stay. They brought us cat litter, food and water bowls, and an additional littler box when we asked. Our cat was just as much a guest as we were! The staff was flexible with our uncertain situation and patiently accommodated us whenever they could. The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was well appointed and the robes were snuggly. We would happily stay here again, and sometimes we consider just stopping in to say hi.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in early June. It is a boutique - style hotel well- situated for coffee bars, restaurants and shopping. We stayed in a City View Spa King room which was a spacious room with vanity area and toilet with separate wet room/spa bath. The bath itself sat on a raised marble step and was very deep, it would not be suitable for those less fit guests or those with mobility problems. Each night there is a complimentary wine hour with hot popcorn, served in the lobby area. It is busy, with limited seating and can get a little noisy, but a great way to relax after a day’s sightseeing. Staff are friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again if ever back in Philly.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a kind review! We're glad you enjoyed your time with us and even got to hang out with other guests at our complimentary wine hour. While it sounds like your room suited you well, be sure to let us know in the future if you would prefer a room that allows for greater mobility as we do have a spa room that would be suitable.

We had a nice long weekend stay over the July 4th holiday. Check-in was easy and all of the staff were friendly and professional. A nice touch was free wine in the lobby library at happy hour. Our room was small, but nicely furnished and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent! The bathroom nice, but we did not like the step in tub shower. They offered valet parking for $50/night which was a bit pricey in my view. The hotel is nicely located in the Rittenhouse Square district, within walking distance to lots of great shops, restaurants, and activities. Overall, this was a nice, clean hotel with friendly and professional staff. BEWARE, THIS HOTEL IS PET FRIENDLY & THERE WERE LOTS OF PETS ON PREMISES WITH THEIR OWNERS.

You won't find better value for the money, or nicer people. Very happy with my stay. The first time I can say that the staff really made a difference. Kiana, Ashley, Kera, Danielle. All examples of hospitality! Very comfortable and clean. Gym. Included cofffee, happy hour wine and bikes. Perfect location, next to all of the other hotels. Quiet. I was completely happy with the stay, extra for the value. I'll stay here again - I rarely repeat, just to try new things. They were that great! Thank you!
