Just had a stay at the Aloft in downtown Philadelphia and can say the room cleaning staff is not up to par. The room cleaning service did not clean our room day 1. Day 2 they did not show up and we ordered towels. Around 5 pm they showed up but we were getting ready to go out to dinner and they did not clean. Not used to this kind of service from a Marriott property. Room was adequate, hallways seemed very dark, service at front counter was slow at times. Also our door pass key did not work, front desk sent us up twice with new keys and then sent maintenance up with us and they had to install new batteries in the door sensor. Wasted 30 minutes of our time chasing this down for them.

Dated and slightly shabby—air conditioning unit faced the bed and room was either freezing even at 72 or turned off. Went to shower and found whisker hairs on the tiles, room was barely clean. Service was inconsistent—I checked out a day early and changed hotels

Right in downtown, you’re close to a lot of attractions and restaurants are walkable. Friendly front desk staff and overall very quiet even when they were very busy. Pet-friendly hotel as we saw a few guests who had their dogs with them but once you’re in your room, you never hear disruptive noise from the outside. The hotel itself is very modern and well kept up.

Had over 50 stays at Marriott hotels last year. This is the worst value, period. Find another hotel. Small rooms, loud air conditioning, poor service. Clean, that’s it . Book a budget hotel and save some money rather than stay here.

Booked a reservation (which was supposed to be flexible) on the Marriott app. Was charged up front. When I called Marriott customer service was redirected to the hotel. Hotel was minimally helpful and not interested in returning my messages. Very unhappy with the process and the way I was treated. Not the usual Marriott experience.
