The Hotel Sofitel is a great hotel. Hotel staff and bar/restaurant was excellent. We stayed December 22nd and December 23 during the Philadelphia vs Bears Football game. Location is close to trains, restaurants and just walking to several great places.

This is a fine hotel in terms of amenities, but we had an awful experience here. We returned from a nice dinner up the block to find a man lying on the ground, getting kicked in the head repeatedly -- right across the street from the entrance of this hotel, where at least three Sofitel staffers were standing around, idly...

I stayed at the Sofitel Philadelphia last night with my husband and 4 year old twins. The hotel is in a great location and the inside, while not fancy, is nice. What was very disappointing was the service. We arrived at 230 for a 3 pm check in and were told the room wasn't ready yet. No problem. By 330,...

Traveled to the Sofitel from Washington, DC. When I visit Philadelphia, I usually stay with a friend, but with a group of four, we decided to stay here, in two rooms. They were having pretty reasonable rates, right from the hotel website when we booked a few weeks prior. Both rooms were nice - and very large. (one with two...

We've stayed at the Philadelphia Sofitel a number of times. As written, it is slightly dated but not falling down like many older "luxury" hotels. The staff is attentive and tries hard to accommodate the many foreign and American tastes of the guests. It is pricey to be sure. A good breakfast can be in the $50 range with tip....

Had a great experience at this hotel. Location is great, very reasonable price for a luxury hotel. My toddler son was sick overnight, and the staff was extremely helpful in the middle of the night to make sure we were comfortable. We stayed in a Jr Suite which had a separate bedroom.
