The staff and hotel itself were awesome! We stayed here last year when the the hotel was part of the Omni chain. It is now part of the Marriott brand. The place is beautiful and the staff very accommodating. We had one small hiccup, which was that our room was next to some wedding guests who were a bit noisy,... More

The Franklin Hotel at Independence Park, at 4th & Chestnut Street, is everything that You think a Hotel should be if it was located in Old City, Philadelphia. The Doormen are exceptional, very personable and extremely helpful. The lobby is roomy and classy with the decor being appropriate for the setting. Our room was impressive. It was spacious, elegant and... More

The hotel was wonderful. The decor fit with the feel of the district it was nestled in. Spent the extra money to have the car parked for us so we didn't have to worry about finding parking somewhere. If you're going to stay here-do it! Totally worth the little extra. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped bring... More

Regal and grand. From the moment you walk in, you are treated like royalty. The entrance way and foyer are spectacular. The restaurant bar is nicely adorned, and Phil the barkeep is extremely personable. Please tip him well...he is great. Now I must say the bad news, the food from the restaurant is really bad, even a simple Caesar Salad,... More

The room was lovely, the staff was great and everything looked very clean when we checked in. Sadly, at 9:30 that night, we dealt with a mouse running all over our room until it jumped into the panel covering the air conditioning apparatus. There was no way I was staying, I would never have been comfortable. To their credit, the... More

Pros: Cannot beat the location. In old city, away from city center non sense. Great sit down breakfast, drink coupons for platinum guests. Overall the service and staff make up for what the hotel lacks in property quality. Cons: The hotel is due for an upgrade which is very much needed. I hope they move the gym from where it... More

The Franklin Hotel at Independence Park is a perfect location for you to see the historic sites. We loved Philadelphia and were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get around on foot and by bus. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and the room on the 13th floor had truly amazing views of the city and the... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights The hotel is very convenient and near (quick walk) many historical sights. The room was very large, clean, and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We felt very safe. The parking garage was not part of the hotel but only steps away. It was also $25 per night which was less... More

My husband and I stayed at the Franklin Hotel for three nights over the Independence Day 2016 holiday as part of the Descendants of the Signers of Declaration of Independence convention. The hotel always treated us as though we were royalty! We had a fabulous corner room on the fifth floor with views of the park and the parade! On... More

This was our second trip to this hotel and did not disappoint. The staff is very helpful and the location is perfect for all that is historic Philly. The rooms are nice but the hotel is older. The pool was cold but coupled with the very hot sauna and hot tub seemed to work. Nice lobby bar too.
