The hotel would be beautiful if the rooms were maintained better. It really needs a make over. In our room the wall paper was ripped and the window sheers had holes in them. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom of it. But the beds were very comfy and it was quiet . For the price I expected pristine...

The Hotel is not clean and the employees should work on their attitude. Not a good choice for me; I use Marriott hotels quite often but this one does not meet the standard. For my next stay I would look for another option in the city.

I checked into The Franklin and was given a room with ripped curtain and peeling wallpaper. I asked for a different room and was given a room with an even larger rip in the curtain, peeling wallpaper, and a blocked sink. I had to brush my teeth in the tub. The shower curtain liner had dirt and mold in it....

I apologize for the short comings you mentioned. We will check to see what rooms you might have been checked into with first name Marybeth. A dirty shower curtain liner is easily changed and I apologized the housekeeper missed this in the bathroom cleaning. Peeling wallpaper and ripped shear curtain will be reported to engineering and a clogged sink will...

Just home after a week road trip that ended with 3 nights at The Franklin. Let me say the employees are fantastic but their hands are tied. This hotel has the hardest beds I have ever encountered on a trip. I suffer with back problems and stay at high end hotels to have the premium sleeping mattresses. They were old...

We were here for two nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The location of this hotel is amazing for sightseeing in the historic area. It is steps away from Independence Hall, Carpenter's Hall, Liberty Bell, etc. And a block from the US Mint, First Bank, Market St. and tons more. There are lots if restaurants near by, and a...

We had beautiful views of historic Independence Hall area parks from our corner room, but no wifi service. That is the story of this hotel. We were told the signal doesn't make it to the corner rooms. I asked room service if they could deliver breakfast while I was working out. Instead they asked when I would be back so...

Thank you for the feedback. I apologize we did not meet expectations in some areas. I have forwarded your remarks to the departments that are directly responsible for the short comings you mentioned. The full renovation of the entire hotel is scheduled to start June 1st 2017 and should correct many issues we are experiencing, wfi, etc.

Wonderful location in heart of historic/tourist area with a nicely styled hotel and rooms. However, like others (and as a Marriott Elite member), I was hoping/thinking that the same level of Marriott service would accompany the aesthetics. The pics & description on the Marriott website give the impression that it is a 'JW' level. Otherwise, a nice hotel and a...

This was a last minute booking but I picked it because it is listed under the Marriott group and the proximity to the Philly attractions - liberty bell, independence hall, within walking distance. I'm glad to read that there will be major renovations scheduled. The room we stayed at really needed a lot of updating. We arrived very late -...

Dear Docneneng Thank you for the feedback regarding your recent stay at the Franklin. I apologize for the red stain on the carpet. it was most likely red wine and will have housekeeping on the look out for this room if not already taken care of with shampooing. Again sincere apologies.

Well, I must not have read carefully enough. Nice view out the window, but no water from midnight to five am to make changes to prepare for their renovation. Not for nothing, but I am usually treated really well as a Marriott guest, free breakfast (not a roll and coffee), a lounge, the usual Marriott setup for business travelers. Room...

I was looking for a very nice hotel for a quick visit to Philadelphia with my 21 year old daughter to meet her boyfriend from school and his mom. It didn't have to be too fancy, but really nice.. not too economical but with a decent discount I wanted some elegance, and it had to be well located. The Franklin...
