It's a beautiful hotel in a wonderful town close to many restaurants. The hotel itself is really nice and the room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful coffee maker and nice modern bathroom. I appreciated the breakfast, and everyone who worked there was really nice. I hope to stay again!

The staff was phenomenal - especially Michelle and Jill. They went above and beyond to take care of our needs. This boutique hotel was a fun place to explore Chestnut Hill's nooks and crannies and was situated among lovely restaurants and shops. Groceries and an ice cream parlor nearby were a plus.

The room was so comfortable and spacious and the Nespresso machine much appreciated. Many luxury percs for a small hotel at a great price. Lovely and friendly staff as well! Highly recommended for the neighborhood too.

I have stayed at this property several times and now consider this my Philadelphia/PA home … that’s how all the employees make you feel … like part of the family….. from the complimentary breakfast to the in house restaurants— I thoroughly enjoy my time here …. It definitely makes my visits more enjoyable. Surrounding this property is an unbelievable amount of shops & restaurants. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area…..I also especially wanted to give a shoutout and my extreme thank you to all the staff especially Michelle for assisting with my requests. Have a great day

Very quiet hotel, great experience. Easy access to our training facility. Walkable to many restaurants. Comfortable beds and room temps. Staff is very friendly, including Michele. Answered all of our questions and helpful to resolve any issues. Well worth the price paid.

I escaped the heat in Philly and enjoyed the leafier Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Front desk people were great at this hotel, the room was comfortable, excellent sleep on the A++++ bed. However I will most likely not return as the price was way too high for a place serving prefab breakfast that you get anywhere. Packaged danish, etc. Service at the attached restaurant was awful. Table on the porch was not cleared for at least an hour, older ladies seated nearby waited about 45 minutes to have their order taken. Quite a shame! I hope the hotel comped their meal!

Response from jpollock jpollock, General Manager at Chestnut Hill Hotel
Responded Aug 7, 2023
Dear cynthiacB4921LF Thank you for taking the time to share your comments regarding your recent stay at the Chestnut Hill Hotel. I am pleased you chose to visit our unique historic neighborhood and found our hotel accommodations to be comfortable and our colleagues great. I am sorry you did not care for our complimentary breakfast options. As you mentioned, one of our breakfast offerings are small Otis Spunkmeyer blueberry prepackaged muffins. This is an option for those guests looking for quick grab and go. We bake our own assorted danish and flakey croissants daily. These items are available in our pastry case along with assorted breads and bagels. We also have a make your own waffle station. Our hotel has two dining options attached to our hotel, via courtesy doors located in both our front and rear hotel lobby to each establishment. These restaurants, as well as other food options in the Market at the Fareway are all independently owned and operated and are not managed by the hotel. I will share your comments with the appropriate restaurant. Kindly reach out to me in the future to discuss your experience and hopefully to book a future stay. We care about providing all our guests with an exceptional experience. Sincerely, John

We LOVED our stay at the Chestnut Hill Hotel. The room was very quiet and every comfort need was anticipated and provided, including an umbrella in the closet (this was a first for me- just wow!). The bed and pillows were plush as expected and the bathroom was also well-appointed. Fascinating historical photographs of the Chestnut Hill and greater Philadelphia área covered the walls in the hallways. Breakfast was great, and we loved the brewery and market right next door. Calva and Michelle were particular staff who stood out as genuinely friendly and helpful. We felt pampered, and would give our highest recommendation for this hotel!
