I stayed at this hotel from Sept 2020-July 2021 on a weekly basis as I was working in area. The staff at this hotel is helpful, courteous and friendly. They were always quick to help with whatever my request was - whether it be regarding my room, needing to warm food or providing necessities. The hotel has a lot of character and the rooms vary from main building to the carriage house to the post office. I highly recommend this location and the entire staff!

Our favorite boutique hotel, anywhere! Right in the heart of the city. The continental breakfast was a great way to start our day. When the market was open, we loved walking and grabbing a local specialty and enjoying breakfast in the courtyard. The staff are so welcoming and took care of all of our needs. We will be back!

I have stayed at this hotel as I have family in the area and my daughter attends university nearby. This last stay will be the last stay... Upon arrival, I turned down my bed to find the linens stained with blood. The front desk girl was trying to be accommodating and offered to get us more linens. Three trips back and forth to the linen closet and we still ended up with stained linens. I made the beds with just a sheet and did stay because it was late at night. Spoke to the general manager the next morning and there was no apology or resolution. Hotel is in a nice location but you stay at a hotel to sleep and in order to do that comfortably, my expectation is that the linens are clean. I was nervous about what else was not kept clean here.

Dear Ms. King, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me on the phone this morning. I sincerely apologize that you did not have a positive experience with us. As you know, (since you have stayed with us many times before)what you experienced is not our standard of service. I will be sure to follow up with my team and re-train them on reviewing our linen when folding it after being cleaned daily and when making up the rooms to ensure stained linen is not being used. I appreciate your willingness to try us again in the future and give us another opportunity to "wow" you. I will definitely use your experience as a training opportunity to ensure this does not happen to future guests. I wish your daughter the best of luck in school and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chestnut Hill Hotel. The accommodations were very comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. The hotel is in a great section of Philadelphia. Not ideal if most of your activities will be in Center City but great otherwise. The best thing about our stay was the staff: very friendly, attentive, and kind. Special shout out to Jill at the front desk -- she's the best!!!

Dear E3583UQandreh, Thank you for your kind review of your recent guest stay. I am pleased you found our guest accommodations to be comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. As you noted, we are located about 10 miles from center city, accessible by two trains and bus service. Chestnut Hill was a retreat in the late 1800’s for many prominent people who built amazing summer homes here. Now, it is an ideal walkable historic gem of an area. I am glad you found our team members, especially Jill, to be friendly, attentive and kind. I will be sure to share your comments with Jill and the team. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future should your schedule permit. Sincerely, John
