I booked a King Corner room with View. The view was fantastic, but the room was incredibly noisy, even up on the 26th floor! (Much worse than typical NY traffic noise.) I did not get a good night's sleep. I called the Front Desk early the next morning and they quickly moved me to a room on the back side of the hotel which was incredibly quiet. I did not hear ANY traffic noise in the new room, which was an even-numbered room. (I later heard that people drag raise on Broad Street, and those are definitely the sounds I heard the first night.)

The view from the new room was actually fine. I could see the sunrise every morning.

I appreciated the LED lighted mirror and makeup light in the bathroom, although the bathroom was quite small.

The pillowtop mattress needed to be replaced, but otherwise the room was good. I was surprised that the hotel staff remembered to clean my room on the third day, and was impressed that they did such a fantastic job.

My biggest complaint is the new Hilton Honors Gold policy of providing a "credit" instead of a free full breakfast. I used this credit at the 2nd floor restaurant the first morning, and the food was TERRIBLE (cold Eggbeaters for a scrambled egg), so I felt ripped off. Also no one explained that if you don't use the credit the first night, you lose it. I checked out the food options in the little store downstairs and they were great, except when I actually needed to make my purchase the next morning, they were out of the items I wanted. So, 3 nights, total food credits of $36 and I was only able to use $20. I would much rather have had 3 free full breakfasts the old way, naturally. I hope Hilton will bring back that policy, or else I will need to find another hotel rewards program.

The room you occupied faced the Delaware River, and those sunrise views really can't be beat! Our apologies for the lack of consistency in the availability of the items you enjoyed in our lobby coffee grab & go. As has been communicated to all Honors members, the current food & beverage credit benefit is currently in a pilot phase, and we've heard from many guests that they enjoy the flexibility of using the credit the way they want and when they want, rather than being limited to the previous breakfast benefit. Every traveler is different, and we're sorry that you were disappointed. We hope to see you again one day soon.

My wife and I just stayed here for one. Night on a Friday night. Check in with Tyler was great, she was super friendly and since we were HHonors members we somehow got upgraded to a great corner room on the 26th floor with sweeping views of south philly and the river. The room was small, the bathroom very small, but we were just there for one night and going out to the Sixers game so those details weren’t too important. Since our upgrade included access to the lounge on the 24th floor we decided to stop in for a snack before we left for the game. The lounge was space was great and has stairs up to the 25th floor, a small business center and a private bathroom, however the “happy hour” was lame, the food options were very limited, they offered beer or wine @ $5/each but we didn’t even see one attendant there for the 25 minutes we were there, so we grabbed some water and a small, plate of snacks. It was a nice touch, but if I had to pay for access to that lounge i would be upset. In the morning after a quick work out in the gym which was spacious and nice, I stopped again back at the lounge to grab some coffee but it was closed with a sign on the door directing you down to the main restaurant, so not much of a benefit. The breakfast buffet was nice, but very crowded and it took a long time in line to get food, but the food quality was pretty good. I will certain all stay here again in the future as the location and price were good. Every staff member I encountered was happy and helpful.

Decent Doubletree property in the heart of the Avenue of the Arts district. Rooms were comfortable and overall fresh and welcoming. A few details here and there such as broken and yellowing plastic outlet and switch covers showed the age of this location. This hotel is easily walkable to a variety of restaurants and shops along Broad Street and beyond. Independence Hall and other Philadelphia attractions are easily accessible by transit or ride share.

I have to give the hotel a star for meeting one of my expectations: we booked a "Pure" room, with an air filter, and requested hypo-allergenic bedding and unfragranced cleaning products. In *this* we were not disappointed.

In almost every other way we were very disappointed. My brother had to switch rooms 3 times to find one without a leaky ceiling or obvious dirt - dirty carpet, dusty surfaces...

The sprinkler/smoke detector in his room was wrapped in a plastic bag! Unsafe! The one in our room was *filthy* with what looked like oily dust bunnies.

The bathroom had no fan and the toilet ran more often than not. The room lighting is poor and the bed had only 1 nightstand.

The guest guide is virtual-only, which is highly inconvenient. Want the channel guide for the TV, or the hours for the gym? You must use your mobile to capture a QR code and then log on to the hotel network...

The common areas are inconsistently maintained. The restaurant seemed OK but the elevators were unclean. The carpets were filthy.

The location is, indeed, Center City. Not Doubletree's fault, but be aware: this includes a subway station below the hotel that is a gathering spot for "urban campers" and public drug sales / drinking.

Service was inconsistent.

We are sincerely sorry that your recent stay did not live up to your, or our, hopes or expectations. There is no excuse for the cleanliness conditions described in your review. Our Housekeeping Director is now aware of the situation and is addressing it with her team. When removing high-touch items from the room at the start of the pandemic we implemented the digital hotel guide that you’ve described to house our dining menus, a digital version of our welcome letter, and details of our amenity offerings. There’s no need to log onto a specific network in order to use it, and the feedback we’ve received from guests has been overwhelmingly positive. The channel guide remains on the television, accessed with the tv remote, with channels also listed in the digital guide for added convenience. We do hope you give us another opportunity to share a more positive experience with you in the future.

We stayed at Double Tree to attend our nieces wedding in Philadelphia. The Parking garage is conveniently located next door. Our room was great! Super clean, I didn’t even sanitize it like I had been doing in other hotels we stayed at while traveling the last 2 weeks. The air quality was so good thanks to the in room air purifier which also helped with white noise to drown out the city sounds (sirens, loud cars etc.) our beds were plush and soooo comfortable. We both slept very well.
The only issue is the elevators. Our room was on the 18th floor. We learned to allow extra time to come and go by elevator the get full and we had to wait for one we could fit into every trip to and from our room.

My family stayed at the Doubletree for a long weekend. The location was good and the room was also good. However, the newly made bed had a nasty pillow that was covered in some type of residue. I called the front desk and they sent clean pillow cases, however I was not going to touch that pillow except to move it onto the floor away from us and our things. We were also short on towels, wash cloths and tissues but a phone call was all it took to take care of those. Too bad the housekeeping examination of the room wasn't better. It was a big turnoff.

We're sorry that an otherwise positive stay was tarnished by a lack of attention to detail. Thankfully this was a one-off challenge, but again we're sorry you had this happen. This should have been caught and swapped out prior to your arrival. Housekeeping service is now opt-in and scheduled according to Guests' comfort level, but additional amenities and supplies, as you experienced, are always available with a quick phone call or text message to our desk team. We do hope that you'll consider us for another stay when your travels bring you back to Philly!

Almost everyone that helped us from pulling into the garage, to checking in, to getting a luggage cart, even in passing, staff was extremely professional and made sure to take time to say hello. I also really appreciated the self check-in and check-out system. This made the process so much simpler and quicker and having our room key on our phone made it easier not having to keep up with room keys while we were out and about in the city. The room was perfect, great view, quiet, clean! We traveled with a pet as well and the hotel was very accommodating. The only issue we ended up having, which is partly our fault is the location made it hard as there were no places very close to the hotel to take our pet on walks as it was in the center of the city. Otherwise it was a great location to many of the places we wanted to visit and lots of great restaurants! Thank you to the hotel for a very wonderful stay!

The hotel was very nice. Outside looked cleaned and well kept. Inside was very welcoming. The staff was kind and helpful. Parking is not included in the price and you have to pay a parking garage, but it is right next to the hotel. So, it is easy to access. The room was clean with a nice view. This hotel has a restaurant and bar. Both were great. They have a small "store/cafe" for snacks, drinks and ice cream located inside too. The pool was nice and it is located on the same floor as the gym and outdoor patio. They allows dogs which was very helpful to us and to anyone that doesn't have a dog, they keep it so clean that you can't tell that there are dogs there. We also liked how it was close to the park and to the sights.

While not one of the newer hotels in Philly, I was more than happy with my recent stay. The property was clean, updated and attractive. The staff I interacted with were friendly and professional. I appreciated that as a Hilton Honors Gold member, this hotel provided a $15 food and beverage credit. So many similar hotels, during Covid are not even making the effort to provide a similar benefit.
The star of this stay was the great views from the spacious room. I appreciated that the room had a nice sofa for relaxing, but it does seem strange that not even a small coffee table is included with the sofa. Thus I couldn't sit on the sofa with a drink to watch TV.
Otherwise I was very happy with my stay and will certainly return when the chance arrises.

I have always liked staying here because the staff is so friendly and caring. In this time of Covid-19, the staff has outdone themselves. We stayed for 2 weeks and the front desk staff was great. They always stopped to ask how we were and if we needed anything. A special thank you to Crystal, who went above and beyond to help us. We also want to thank Greg from housekeeping, who made sure we had everything we needed in our room to make our stay comfortable.
The rooms were very clean, as they always are. There were hand sanitizing stands by every elevator. Masks were required in the common areas of the hotel. We felt the staff was doing everything they could to stop the spread of Covid-19. We would highly recommend staying here.
