Typical downtown Hotel without much personality, small rooms, premium fee for internet access. OK location near Reading Market and City Hall, about 15 minutes walk to Liberty Bell, but it is not a nice area to walk after sunset, we didn't feel safe returning to our hotel walking. There is an outside parking on 13th street which was cheaper than...

I'm a big Marriott guy and almost always pick Marriott when I have a choice. This stay was for a convention I was attending and I was pretty displeased. First, although I arrived a little before 3, they didn't have my room ready until nearly 6:00pm. They promised to call my cell phone when my room was ready, but never...

A very standard business hotel with great service, lots of nooks to do business and nice amenities. Really comfy beds and great pillows. Food was above average. My room was in the older wing. Some gross hair in the bathroom when I walked in and the room had just two, very small portholes essentially for windows. The room was very dark...

The family was sweating the government shutdown considering our long weekend in Pennsylvania was supposed to be about National Parks and sharing our country's history. We arrived a little after 12pm on Thursday, October 17th. Seamless check-in, great advice from the concierge on where to grab a cheesesteak sandwich, and the parks were open! We wandered downtown for four or...

I was in Philadelphia for a convention and stayed at this Marriott because it is connected via a sky bridge to the convention center. I am a lifetime Platinum Member, so upon arrival, I asked if the hotel would provide breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I was told that I would receive 1000 Marriott Points in my account, but...

What a relief! Room was updated- clean- and had the delightful white duvet covers ( not the nasty sheets covering the non-laundered blanket). Room was well appointed and comfortable. Staff was friendly. The lobby is very loud with music and conversation but the rooms are quiet. Nice location also.

The hotel was clean and centrally located. Having driven 8 hours to get there we did not want to get into the car to find somewhere to eat. There was a wide variety of places to choose from. We choose different places to eat each night. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Stephanie checked us in early around noon time with a great smile. She was professional and gave us a room on the 20th floor overlooking part of the City Hall and the statue of the city founder William Penn. The room was spacious with nice décor and many updated amenities. Free bottles of water and a fridge in room were...

I was a bit leery of staying here because I'm not generally a fan of convention serving hotels. However, this one pulled off a huge conference impeccably. Rooms are OK, really the only drawback, but they clearly have a lot of convention traffic. Room service fast and tasty. The hotel though has everything you might need for business-kinkos onsite, starbucks,...

The Downtown Marriott was a nice hotel in a very convenient location both for the Convention Center as well as the surrounding area. It is in walking distance of many attractions and restaurants, as well as Reading Terminal Market. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very pleasant. We chose the place based upon location as it is connected to...
