Stayed here on business b/c we had a early flight out. The lobby was modern and nice, the girl that checked up in was fantastic and super friendly, I wish I could recall her name. The hallways were dark and not inviting at all. Once in the room it was small which was fine for this stay. The carpet was worn and the bathroom tiles looked very dated. They do provide ear plugs to help with the interstate noise. Nothing in the area to eat except the hotel across the street.

The heat! My God, the heat! The air conditioner was so loud that it was impossible to get a peaceful night’s sleep. I mean - REALLY loud. The cheap earplugs didn’t even help. Folks, it was unimaginably loud. And...the air conditioner didn’t really work well anyway. 75 degrees in the summer is not acceptable. The shower was scalding hot and didn’t cool down for a few minutes. It’s like the 9th circle of Hell up in there. PRO - The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and friendly. Plus, it’s close to the airport. But no free coffee in the lobby while waiting for the shuttle? It’s definitely not worth the price.

Courteous staff, but slightly grungy common areas. The bartender said that happy hour pricing/service no longer existed, but the signs posted stated that it did. The room also had a funky odor that could only be traced to something being spilled, then cleaned up horribly, then covered up with mothballs scented deodorizer.

Checked in near midnight with no hangups. Very well appointed rooms, so near to the airport but heard none of it the same for the highways despite facing them. Seemed new or renovated very friendly staff easy to get in and out of ample parking.

After a full day of driving and braving the rush hour traffic with an upset 2 year old, we were tired and a little cranky when arriving at the hotel. Kareem instantly changed our attitudes for the better. He was extremely receptive and very helpful, even engaging with our 2 year old and helping cheer him up. He gave us recommendations, told us some stories, and set the tone for a wonderful stay at Aloft. I can't overstate how helpful and nice he was! Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The toiletries were nice and got positive feedback from my wife. We were in a room close to the elevator and we didn't notice any of the outside noise others complained about. In the hallway I met a group of teenagers who were in the room next to us playing their music a bit too loud. I didn't notice any noise after entering back into my room. I exited the room twice for trips to the car/bar and always noticed the music in the hallway but never in our room. This is hotel is definitely designed with a trendy, hip, attitude. The music in the elevators is loud, the lobby is an open floor plan with the bar close to the reception desk, and the color schemes are bright. However, there are games to play in the lobby and on the patio, the staff are energetic and very helpful, and the place feels alive. We will look to stay here on our next visit to Philly.
