When we arrived the staff was very friendly. Although, over all we were quite disappointed. The hotel said that there was continental breakfast included. The two days we had breakfast they ran out of coffee before breakfast was over and wouldn't refill it. The second morning they ran out of eggs, bowls, plates, spoons, hot water, coffee, cream, long before... More

When we arrived at Tamarack, first impressions were good. Lovely location next to twin lakes, and a lovely old fashioned lodge feel to the place. We stayed in the cheapest "lodge" rooms with shared bathrooms. They were fine, and the rooms themselves clean and cute, however they are over priced (as is Mammoth as a whole). the lodge was quite... We arrived around 5 pm. and when told our cabin number, I was a little disappointed as I had been told we had cabin #8, with a lake view. Well, we still had a peek-a-boo-view. The cabin was very rustic and cozy, but cute and located just above Mammoth's Twin Lakes. The people that worked there provided very friendly service... More

Great getaway. Pleasant staff. No electronics, except WIFI. Loved the old style room and the wonderful lounge with a piano player and a bar. Soothing and relaxing at Tamarack Lodge. Great restaurant and good with a view of the lake. Thanks for the great stay and will be back.

I traveled with a friend to Tamarack Lodge for the second time. Last year, we were disappointed in a few things, but we loved staying there due to the lake front atmosphere and the old style lodge. I expressed our prior disappointments with Matt(manager), and he remembers part of what happened. This time, we requested cabin 16 when we made... More

We stayed for one night after Yosemite national park, it's very nice place to stay, free wifi, including simple breakfast and staffs are friendly. Cabins are facing to twin lake, great place to do outdoor activities in summer time. Recommend!

This is the place to come if you want to feel like you are in the mountains (not a ski town), yet still want a high level of luxury. We stayed 5 nights in one of the new 2 bedroom cabins. While none of the cabins are directly on the lake, the view is nicely framed to be only mountains... More

We stayed 2 nights at Tamarack Lodge. The location of the hotel is beautiful. The cabin we had as a family of 5 was spacious, yet the interior quite worn. Dinner at the lodge was delicious (not cheap, but worth the money) and staff in the restaurant very friendly. The staff at reception, however, was not helpful when asked for... More

Checked in after two days in a resort with no view. Although we were not in a lake front cabin the view was still very nice. Pleasant surprised by the accommodations in studio cabin. Staff was great and were helpful regarding the dos and donts with active bear population. Surprised that there was a substantial continental breakfast that was included... More
