We visited Mammoth Lakes around the last weekend of October to enjoy the fall colors. This was our first trip since COVID-19 restrictions were imposed around end of February, 2020. The stay was comfortable. What was more important were COVID-19 safety measures adopted by the hotel. Lift lobby in each floor, including basement parking, and lobby near reception were having multiple hand sanitizer. Stationeries, toiletries etc. were delivered in contactless manner. These safety measures motivated us to plan further vacation during Thanksgiving.

Spent the weekend before Thanksgiving and enjoyed our stay. Small but efficient room on the 6th floor, king size bed, small love seat, chair and electric start fireplace. People staying longer than a few days have the convenience of a small electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. All pots and pans are there to make hot chocolate or a pot of spaghetti. We didn’t cook but with children it certainly is an added bonus. The hotel practiced COVID protocol and we felt very safe. Room was cleaned and cabinets sealed reminding us that they care. Even though it did not snow, it’s great to park under the hotel and take the elevator straight to the room. Service was great at the front desk and restaurant. Limited food selection and room service availability, but that’s expected iN COVID times. We will be back.

Great place to stay! Amazing staff that make you feel welcome. Mandy Hernandez has made my frequent stays here like being at home. I couldn't think of staying anywhere else. From the plush beds to the kitchenet's to the service in the restaurant. Thank you Team Westin Monache!

I have stayed here twice now and have to say everything is great. Clean rooms and friendly staff. They accommodated my oversized vehicle in the covered parking. Making it convenient to pull in and out.

While the hotel is generally good, staff is great and location is awesome, there were a few things that put me off. Firstly, the beds are nothing what you would expect from Westin - all that stuff about "Westin Heavenly" - you can forget about it since the beds are either not the heavenly beds or way past their prime - they were sagging too much. My son got the sofa bed and that has to be one of the lousier sofa beds that I have encountered. Secondly, the shower drains don't seem to get cleaned well - there was water accumulating in the shower when using the showerhead - that is a bit yucki since you want the soap water etc. to just drain out versus sticking around your feet. How hard would it be for management to put this on a checklist - make sure we check this every month or something. Thirdly, my room had a fancy shower head combo - a rain shower and a hand held shower that I noticed later since it was a thin vertical slie). The hand held shower was pointing to the bathroom. I turned the faucet on and then flipped the switch for the shower and it started spraying everywhere in the bathroom including my toileteries. Again - should be part of a checklist for the cleaning staff at this level of hotel - make sure that the shower head is left in a good position. Other than the issues, we had a good stay - like the room - it has a small kitchenette that was perfect for these covid times since we had our own dinner that we could heat up nicely. We had a few items for breakfast and having the toaster/plates/utensils etc. was extremely useful. We even managed to break one glass and they didn't charge for that - that was nice.
