We stayed for four nights in Unit 611 at 1849 Mountain Rentals at Mammoth and could not have been more pleased! From ease of making the reservation (including a call directly to the office to inquire about which units were best suited for what we were looking for) to a very energetic and welcoming check in to a fantastic unit, everything was outstanding! We had 8 adults in our 4BR unit and that was perfect although if kids are in the group there is plenty more room for them too. The living room and wrap around sofa was perfect for hanging out and especially for watching the Super Bowl and the elevated dining room table for 8 was perfect for meals and games. Not to be left out is the amazing location, a 3 minute walk to Canyon Lodge or a 1 minute walk to a snow covered path you can ski down right to the lift. If there was one small downside the Jacuzzi was closed due to Covid but obviously that was beyond managers control. We have stayed in Mammoth for over 15 years and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed for families, even better than Juniper, Main Lodge or condos by the Village (don't have to ride Gondola up and back) and the people here couldn't be more friendly and welcoming!

These condos are individually owned. The one that we stayed in (209) was well appointed, and even had an extra half bathroom that was really nice to have. Check in was easy, and the staff are helpful and welcoming. There's hot drinks in the lobby for certain hours of the day too. The location cannot be beat, and also the underground parking. It's my favorite Mammoth accommodation!

We stayed in newly remodeled condo unit 511. The owners did a wonderful job on re-furbishing the unit. Very nicely decorated with many nice features. New tile, new kitchen and carpeting , newly tiled bathrooms. The owners did not miss anything during the upgrades. The beds were comfortable. One minor issue the height of the master bedroom bed. The bed was extremely high to get into. I am 6' 2" and I had to climb up to get in bed. (perhaps shorten the legs on the bed. I would definitely stay in this unit again!

Love saying here for the location. We walk down to the Canyon lodge - get up and go straight to the lifts. We even went back during lunch to avoid the huge crowd in the lunch room during president weekend. Parking is covered. You can take the gondola to the Village for a bite to eat but we had to take the trolley back after dinner because the gondola shuts down by 6pm. We have stayed here 3 times in 2019 and will return agin in the future.

We stayed in unit 542 for 5 nights. Starting with the positive, the location was very good. You could walk to several lifts in about 7 minutes. This condo was on the ground floor and the insulation between the unit above and us was non existent! We could hear every movement above us from walking, to water running from shower, toilets, sinks, dishwasher. Thankfully we were out most of the day, but when we came back to the unit it sounded like they were moving furniture upstairs constantly! We could even hear people coughing. Two of the burners on the stove didn’t work and the internet was very spotty at first. We had to restart the router over and over the first 2-3 days. The place is very dated and the bedding was below average. Most of the towels were ripped. We would not stay here again.

Response from Cheryl W, General Manager at 1849 Mountain Rentals at Mammoth's Canyon Lodge
Responded Jan 1, 2018
Sorry to here about your recent stay. Unfortunately we did not hear about any of your issues until your departure. Please keep in mind we have a full maintenance and housekeeping crew that could have attended to these items during your stay. The burners were simply not plugged in(took maintenance 30 sec to fix) and we have a huge inventory of towels and linens at our guests disposal. Also, keep in mind that all of our units are privately owned and differ greatly from unit to unit. We have many units which have been recently remodeled from the ground up if the unit you selected did not fit your needs. We appreciate all the feedback and will pass this on to the owner.
