This hotel is a real gem - very convenient location close to the village and the mountain. Character building with indoor spa pool and sauna. Always clean room. Breakfast is awesome and plenty of various foods. Service is very responsive and kind. Very recommended!

My husband and I stayed at alpenhof for a night on our way to Yosemite. Cute place and close to all the restaurants around. We didn't get a room with a view as we checked in late, but I'm sure those would be great. They had complimentary breakfast which was standard but good. The ppl there were the best. Super...

Place is cosy, close to the village gondola, restaurants and bars. Everything in easy walking distance. Staff, Adam, Annemieka and Martha very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is a little limited, some fresh fruit salad and more variety would be welcome. Place could do with a refresh of amenities, especially the bathrooms and carpets. For a mountain lodge we found it...

This hotel is ideal for its location and friendly, helpful staff. A quick gondola ride will get you to the slopes. The complimentary breakfast is complete as well in a friendly atmosphere. Finally the village is directly across the street. The village has shops and lots of restaurants.

Check-in procedure smooth & easy; still using real keys which never have to be re-coded. Lot well maintained and plenty of guest parking. The room and double beds were huge. In wall heater is old, non- digital, and quite functional. Great ski racks by the door, tv a bit small for the size of the room. Small, cold bathroom. The...

Due to adverse weather conditions we had to change our route and give up the visit to Yosemite Park. Staff at the Alpenhof Lodge was kind enough to reimburse a large part of the amount that we had paid in advance, although the rate is not refundable. In these times, meet kindness and understanding associated with professionalism is rare. For...

We stayed for a night when driving from Yosemite to Death Valley. We chose this place based on many positive reviews and we were not let down. The place is easy to find, with plenty of parking. Check in was quick and smooth. The room we got was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was with big...

Couldn't fault it. Room clean and comfortable and hotel in nice location. Bar onsite was lively and served good choice of beer, food and whisky. Staff were all really helpful. Stayed here on way from San Fran to Las Vegas.

I stayed at the Alpenhof Lodge during a visit to Mammoth for the Mammoth Half Marathon. I booked a 2 King bed room and it was located on 1st floor. The room was older, but it appeared as it had been updated. The room was spacious and clean. If you are looking for luxury this might not be the place...

This place would be perfect, if their beds didn't feel like a bed of bricks. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the place is quaint and cozy, and it is close to a lot of things to do. The beds and pillows are as hard as the granite rocks around the valleys.
