Our stay at the Cinnamon Bear Inn was the the culmination of a two week car-trip, and was a relaxing way to end the trip. The proprietors couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and their hospitality reflected their years of experience in this industry. Our room had a lovely four-poster bed and a gas burning stove, simulating a wood... More

I love these independent hotels, each one is different. The Cinnamon Bear Inn would look quite at home in Austria or Switzerland. The staff made us very welcome as soon as we arrived and were all superb. The room was comfortable and even had a four poster bed, which was one of the most comfortable we had found. There wasn’t... Very nice place to stay at off season... We had a welcome drink with cheese - rooms are all different, some a bit smaller, but nicely furnished and very clean. Breakfast is just "awesome"

Pros: The price is right, good location so you can walk to dinner and the quickie mart, room was recently refurbed, free hot breakfast is convenient and a nice money saver. Cons: Apparently they are dealing with an issue where there is a hot water shortage in the late afternoon and early evening. Other minor issues include cobwebs in the... More

When we arrived, we were greeted by the very nice manager/owner. Very friendly and helpful staff. They make breakfast every morning (we had waffles and the next day we have apple panacakes). They also had cheese and wine late afternoon. The rooms were cute and cozy with updated features (flat screen tv, nice linens). They had a fireplace and a... More

My wife and I enjoyed our week's stay at the Cinnamon Bear Inn. Pam and Jim are great hosts (from the morning breakfasts to the excellent advise regarding local restaurants to the accommodating approach to our particular travel logistics). The accommodations were quite comfortable (and I found the in-room wi-fi service particularly helpful). The location is very convenient--a short walk... More

I come to mammoth to go skiing often with my father and we stay at the Cinnamon Bear Inn. Pam and Jim are very friendly hosts to us and all the guests. Breakfast in the morning and evening appetizers in the main room, allow you to meet old friends from years ago or make new ones from somewhere close or... More

You could not ask for a more friendly and convenient place than the CBI. The people who work there are terrific and accommodating. From the reservation phone call to the hot breakfast, they could not be nicer. The CBI is up a side street just off of downtown. Easy to walk to shops and dinner. Bus stops about 50 yards... More

We love the Cinnamon Bear. After sleeping in a really comfortable bed, we come down to a lovely breakfast and meet other snow sporters - typically a mix of couples, families, individuals, friends - some from Southern CA, some from the other side of the world. A short walk to the free bus and we are on the slopes. Then... More

The Cinnamon Bear Inn has a lot of friendly people, and they are very easy to talk to. It is located 5-7 minutes away from canyon lodge, and has a lot of bus stops in walking distance. Also, it is located right behind Schats bakery, which has great sandwiches and pastries. The staff is warm and friendly. They make great morning... More
