We read a lot of reviews before booking in Mammoth and we were not disappointed by its location and the helpfulness of the staff. From the minute we arrived, through the happy hour (free wine and cheese) and breakfast, the staff were always on hand offering advice on trips and what to do and where to go. The rooms were... Travelled up from Vegas so was quite weary when we arrived, not a very friendly welcome and took ages to find our booking, room was quaint in an old fashioned way but was showing signs of needing updating. The shower in our room can only be described as dangerous as it was not thermostatically controlled and was very slow to... More

We booked this at the last minute as a resting place on our way San Diego. They close the office at 8pm but they left our information and key for us. We got a tiny room in the back of the second floor which was comfortable and clean if a little dated. They don't have AC, but it is usually... More

We spent one night here and the location is perfect! You're within walking distance of 2 coffee shops, Schatz bakery, and Slocums restaurant for a good dinner. You have your choice of electric bike rentals and bike rentals as well as yoga, just a few steps away. The scene out of the window is quiet and serene. The young lady... More

We have visited the Cinnamon Bear Inn many times and it is still our go-to place in Mammoth. Though the property needs some TLC, the Managers/Innkeepers are fantastic and make you feel like you are an integral part of their extended family. The room we stayed in was recently painted and updated to some degree and was very cozy. As... More

There's a thin line between rustic, charming and cozy and worn down and uncomfortable and Cinnamon Bear Inn crossed it one two many times for me. Disclaimer: Pretty sure I had the smallest room available at the Inn. Granted, I should have known what I was getting myself into, but the price was right so I went for it. Do... More

I would certainly admit the room is very small. We call them our economy rooms and for many of our single guests, they are perfect. A small price for a small space. I've stayed in this room many times and haven't experienced the problem with the shower. Thanks for the comment and I'll have a plumber look into it. More

My overall review of the property is that is basic accomodation, with a good location close to shops and restaurants in the centre. The room was of average standard and cleanliness. The outside of the building, small garden patch and hot tub area is in need of attention. It has a rustic feel and is ok for an overnight stay.... More

Close to all facilities - restaurants, shops and local free transport to the lakes and other parts of the town. Friendly greeting from the managers who also provided us with plenty of information on areas of interest within the locality. Evening reception with snacks and a glass of wine gave a homely feel to the place. The room was large,... More

We were happy to be greeted with complimentary wine and snacks for the standard happy hour. The rooms have been remodeled very nicely and John the stand in manager was very sweet and friendly. The kitchen needs better ventilation for breakfast and a dark haired female employee was not very professional but we very much enjoyed our stay and would... More
