Supposedly one of the better campgrounds in this area, right across from the visitor center. Our site was graveled with just water and electricity. The campsite was good sized, but not very pretty. There were many nice full hookup sites, but you need reservations far in advance, and we were not able to get one of the better sites. Restrooms/showers/laundry... More

We really wanted to stay in Mammoth and as it was unplanned, ended up taking what we could get. What we didn't know was, that there was a motorcycle rally on somewhere in the vicinity at the time and every rig had several bikes with them and we were all crammed in like sardines!!! The showers/toilets did have a security... More

We tend to stay here at least annually. This is a great campground if you like to get social and know your neighbors. It has a great family friendly feel to it and lots of trees! It is very close to town so bring your bikes with you. The bike trail system it Mammoth is fantastic and runs right along... More

There are no other campgrounds in the area that offer hook ups so this is the only place to go if you want/need to have services. Very crowded and cramped spaces, not much of a mountain feel to it since most sites are on black top. There are some in the trees with full services but you need to book... More

The park is family and dog friendly with great walking trails nearby and very close to the center of town. We enjoyed the pool, clean bathroom with showers and the playground on the campground. The only negative is that the spots are very close to each other and nit a lot of trees. But it is great place to park,... More

We stayed only 1 night, I had phoned weeks before but was told park was completely booked. We ended up calling again the same day we were passing through and ended up getting a site only to be told we were booked for the next day. The staff was accommodating in getting us a site (on the tree side) we... More

Placed my reservation on line, making them for 2 RV's. Stated this before I booked. When we arrived, we were told they could not accommodate our request. 2 streets apart! That was the best they could do! Talked to the office again when we found out how far they were. Moved one of us 4 spaces apart, better but the... More

We stayed for three nights for the 4th of July. The place was pretty packed! We traveled with a dog and there are some dusty trails or fields near for a walk. After the second day I found a paved trail (near the NW corner of the park) that goes for 1 mile and ends with a great grassy park... More

We stayed in the portion of the park referred to in other reviews as the "parking lot." I suspect that there was something here before it was an RV park, and this really was the parking lot. In a pinch one night last year we stayed in the parking lot of a Walmart. Walmart was more roomy , but otherwise... More

We stayed here for the Mammoth Motocross races from June 18-23rd. We arrived just after noon on Saturday. We went into the office to check in and were rudely told check-in is at 2pm. We asked if we could maybe check in early - she just repeated check-in is at 2pm. If it was up to me and staying here... More
