Accommodations are fair, could definitely use some updating but the proximity to the mountain is great for getting right out on the mountain. Only complaint is that at 7:30am, they started snow removal on the roof. When we brought this to management, they said there was nothing that could be done, this needed to happen at this time of day. Would not recommend staying here if sleep is important to you.
Absolutely LOVED our stay. The service was impeccable and the staff was incredibly nice. As far as skiing/boarding, the Inn is steps from the lift and having a ski valet, ski rentals, and lift passes all in lobby was incredibly convenient. Can’t wait to return!!! Especially want to thank Tom the Manager and Rigo at the Front Desk.
Great service from Huberto E who went above and beyond with last minute laundry/coffee/towels/trash/amenities replacement even though we did not meet the deadline to request housekeeping at 10pm before hand. 2 bedroom condo was very comfortable. It is just unfortunate still havent recovered from covid so no childcare at Main Lodge as of March 2023 and when there is a snow storm everything is shut down at MainLodge so taking the shuttle down to the village takes away from ski in and ski out capabilities. One breakfast and one dinner restaurant at Mammoth Mountain Inn has fair food/drink selection.
I have been staying at the Mammoth Mountain inn at least once per year in the winter season for the last few years. Every single time I return my stay is better than the last. From the service, to the food, the room cleanliness and overall vibe this is by far my favorite lodging option in the area. My last visit was during the epic blizzard at the end of February 2023. I was traveling to Mammoth from Lake Tahoe in the midst of the storm and had made my initial reservation in error for the wrong dates, but the front desk manager Tanner was completely understanding and helpful in correcting my mistake as well helping me extend the reservation while the roads out of town remained closed for days. The entire staff was warm, welcoming and helpful the whole stay. The and drinks at the bar and grill on-site were exquisite. I highly recommend the Molcajete combo! Alex the bartender was excellent and great company while attending to a full bar during rolling power outages due to the massive storm. I would especially like to thank their resort operations for pulling my buried car out of feet of snow as swiftly as I asked for assistance. For anybody considering where to stay while in Mammoth I encourage you to go and see for yourself why decide to return to the Mammoth Mountain Inn every season.…
Shelby and Erin and Manny and Peyton and Alex - and everyone at the front desk and working throughout the mammoth inn - I cannot thank you enough. I was stranded at mammoth for 3 more days than we expected due to lost car keys on the mountain. These people helped us eat, stay warm, relax, and have a place to sleep on a budget while I figured out what to do with no way to tow my car or get a new key for the next 72 hours. Shelby especially. Please give this woman a raise. She went above and beyond and she is a light at this establishment. Thank you again mammoth inn. You guys are the best.
Room overlooking the slopes. Can ski to the lodge. Check in was smooth and easy. The front desk Payton was awesome. Above and beyond. Not only was everything easy, He overheard me saying I needed poles so he went in the back and had a pair that I can use while I’m here…now that’s service!
We stayed for a week. Could not get trash pickup, new towels, soaps, etc. I ended up helping myself to towels from a cart outside one of the rooms and throwing the old ones under the sink. We ended up bagging up the trash and throwing it in the hallway. The room was dark and we asked for an additional light. We got a broken lamp that could only be turned on/off by plugging/unplugging it. The telephone didn't work. We reported it and nothing happened. We needed a humidifier. We got a broken one. It took four days to get a new one and it dumped water all over the carpeting. The bathroom had mold. The fireplace in the lobby was kept off most of the time. The only thing decent was the restaurant, the restaurant wait staff, and the hot tubs.
Very friendly staff, great place to stay, the best part is that you are on the slopes practically. They offer jacuzzi, inside gym, game room, and coffee shop with basic needs like combs, pills etc Breakfast was delicious, lunch and dinner were good. We usually drive to village for apres ski, this time we stayed all the time at the lodge. It felt cozy there and we didn’t feel like driving anywhere, why would you if everything what you need could be found where you staying.
It is nice to be next to the slopes, so you can walk over to the chairlifts. However, being so isolated has its shortcomings for sure: Restaurant and bar close at 9PM, can have long waits, generally have inconsistent service and overpriced food, and there are no other options anywhere. I also found the front desk staff to be unhelpful and with an attitude. Hotel is pretty run down, but that's par for the course in Mammoth. Walking in snow to get to the jacuzzi sucked.
Received outstanding customer service from customer care associate, Emilia, and from front office manager, Tanner. They both went above and beyond their job requirements to assist with a situational mishap with the reservation. Emilia was very kind, helpful, and courteous. Tanner was also very kind, understanding, results oriented, and really made customer satisfaction a priority. Really refreshing to have received such great customer care! Will be back!
