The place looked beautiful however the room had a lot of issues. It was HOT and the portable AC was very loud and was no help at all in the bedrooms. You could not open most of the windows because the screens were either broken or missing. The “gourmet” kitchen looked like it came from a yard sale and the pot for the coffee maker didn’t even fit. Parking is a joke one spot for a six person room. How do you expect six people and all their luggage to arrive in one vehicle. The front desk staff was EXTREMELY rude when we asked for another pass. They reacted as if we were asking for a free room.
Great service. Nice location. Wonderful room. Nice amenities. Prices were pretty reasonable. We checked in on Thursday and that first night was lovely. Looking out off the deck seeing below the cute plaza area was dreamy. Unfortunately, the next two nights were so busy it was tough to enjoy. They had music and events set up and it drew massive crowds. When my wife took our kids down on Saturday night the smells of marijuana filled the air and it was a young crowd having a good time. The pool on Friday and Saturday was so slammed the kids could barley enjoy swimming. One of the staff we met in the elevator let us know that he had never seen the place do crowded. Just an unfortunate situation.
Sadly had just 1 night in a fabulous 2 bed apartment. Really spacious and well equipped. Lovely pool. Great location and many restaurant options. Stay was too short! Would like to return and stay longer!
Best resort in Mammoth! So many restaurants, live music on weekends, we loved our stay in a two bedroom condo fully equipped. Special thanks to Mandy who went above and beyond in assisting us with a room change, request a room facing plaza or pool, our first room faced street and was very loud. Pool and spas are great, the staff are all friendly. We extended our stay and look forward to going back!
Our travel agent had booked two rooms but failed to request they be together. We have to thank the lovely Michelle for all her efforts in being able to juggle things around and put us next to each other - otherwise we'd have been in separate blocks! Thank you Michelle - what you did meant so much, and we could eat and relax together as planned. Wonderful facilities at the hotel: the rooms were palatial, with a stove bigger than mine at home! Well-stocked kitchen. We could therefore eat in, which was what we wanted after so long on the road trip. Only negative point was that many of the cafes and bars around the hotel complex were closed / only partially open / not serving food, which was surprising considering we went at the height of the peak summer period (for example, after relaxing one morning for a few hours by the pool, we found the creperie was closed that day and the only food nearby was a pizza take-out). Not sure why the hotel didn't serve up food / snacks itself.…
As first timers to the village lodge in mammoth lakes we could not have asked for a better experience! From our initial welcome by Gil who gave us the most exemplary service upon check-in, to the clean and beautiful room we stayed in, it has been an amazing getaway to this gorgeous mountain town. There are also many restaurants and shops within walking distance which made it very convenient to leave the car in their underground garage. The full kitchen in room was wonderful to take advantage of for whipping up some quick sandwiches and a nice pasta dinner. Quick fyi it appears the gas to the fireplaces is shut off during the summertime so just be aware if you planned on cozying up to the fireplace during a summer visit. There are several large gas firepits with seating available in the village that you can still enjoy. We also recommend a dip in the very large outdoor hot tub. They also have a gym and arcade room. Don’t hesitate to stay here at the village lodge where you can experience the best in hospitality and comfort while creating lasting memories with your loved ones.…
What a great place! Special props to Josh at the front counter for making our stay better than expected. The place is truly Grand, and Josh made the experience shine. The location is a great spot to start many adventures. But there is also plenty going on to just cruise around without having to leave the hotel area. Definitely will return!
We arrived at the front desk with our reservation in hand. Our room was ready early so we checked in. When we got to our room we found that our scenic balcony was the backside of another building. I went to the front desk to see how I could have done things differently for next time to get a scenic room. We had stayed here before and had a beautiful balcony. Daniel at the front desk was so friendly, and informative. He let me know for next time to add specifically which room I'd like and see if they could accommodate it. This is where he went above and beyond. He looked for another room for us that was not only amazing, but way beyond our wildest expectations and gave it to us complementary at no extra charge. We enjoyed the best fireworks right from our balcony. When they say they are in the business of making lasting memories, they are correct. Daniel did this for us. Thank you Daniel not for only being a knowledgeable and caring person, but going above and beyond for us and The Village. We will definitely be back and tell all our friends about our wonderful trip to The Village at Mammoth.…
We found it quite difficult to find this hotel initially as it had a different name at the main entrance. This is a lovely hotel in an area which is beautiful. We had a large clean room overlooking the Main Street which was quiet. The room was a junior suite which was fully equipped. We were provided with a complimentary upgrade. Breakfast was not included. The pool was small for the amount of guests but ok for a short period. Car parking was free and underground so good for cooling off.
We stayed here the last week of June and it was so hot outside they had a portable AC unit in the living room/dinning room area but it said 78 was the room temp and it was set to 60 it seemed to be broken. The bedrooms were on the other side of the condo so the somewhat cold air did not travel that far thankfully we asked for fans and they were brought up. All the electrical outlets did not work in any of the bathrooms. I called every day we were there on the second to last day someone came but did not fix the issue. The condo has all the hardwood floor covered in area rugs everywhere and they were not secured to the floor and the wood floors were slippery. The furniture was antique and looked nice but was not practical to put clothes in. No blackout blinds. For the price we paid It was way overpriced. The house keeping were amazing they came and everyday to make beds, bring new towels and empty trash!…
