Welcome to the Historic Hotel Bethlehem in downtown Bethlehem PA in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, just minutes from Allentown and Easton, Pennsylvania, Lehigh University, Moravian University, Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, and a 10 minute drive from the Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE). We are conveniently located in the heart of the historic district that surrounds our hotel in Bethlehem Embrace our beautifully decorated and newly renovated historic Bethlehem hotel. Come experience world-class service, charming guest accommodations, elegantly appointed lobby and common areas, beautiful yet efficient banquet and meeting facilities, and Award winning cuisine. We proudly continue the tradition of Bethlehem hospitality that began by the Moravians who first settled here in 1741. Come experience this hospitality at our Historic Hotel Bethlehem. Restored to its original 1922 grandeur, Historic Hotel Bethlehem's floor-to-ceiling palladium windows provide dramatic views of the historic shopping district just outside our front doors. Seven large murals were painted by George Gray in 1937 to depict the history of Bethlehem. These beautiful murals currently adorn the walls of the Mural Ballroom. One of the larger murals retells the story of how Count Zinzendorf and other early settlers named the city of Bethlehem on Christmas Eve in 1741. This event took place in a crude cabin on the site now occupied by our Award winning hotel.

1. No bellhop at arrival and we're 70, told me next day GM said not necessary day we checked-in 2. Parking garage said "park at own risk" & we assumed theft & set alarm. But pipes in ceiling leaked onto car which cost us $78 to have paint fixed at body shop. 3. Toilet didn't work upon arrival. 4. Remote control didn't work upon arrival; they changed batteries and still didn't work. 5. "Starview" room a rip-off; at that distance the "star" is size of pencil eraser. 6. Hotel bar - PEI mussels size as same pencil eraser! Lobster roll was small pieces and tasteless. 7. Went to 1741 Restaurant next night and when we sat down both water glass had lipstick on them. 8. Tables in lobby-lounge always covered in crumbs. They claim to be #1 historic hotel in US - but we've stayed at Hershey Hotel, Williamsburg Inn, and Willard and this isn't even close. Stay at Wind Casino Resort instead - modern, clean, everything works and food WAY better.

Just a beautiful hotel, and all the hotel workers were very polite and helpful. Our grandkids, 10 and 6, loved walking around the facility. Room was large enough for the 4 of us. Delicious breakfast in the bar area, and the grandkids enjoyed seeing the many pictures of famous people who stayed at the Historic Hotel. Also in addition to the beautiful hotel, Bethlehem is a wonderful walking city. We had a great time walking up Main Street, and going into the many fine store.

The bathroom is worst I have ever experienced. No place to put face towel. No place to put wet bath towel. No hooks and the only bar is 12 inches above the back of the toilet! The shower is tiny tiny tiny. Good thing we are not very large people. It is one of those showers where the hot and cold and volume are on a continuum. The light in shower has peeling paint. No shower gel. The bathroom itself is VERY small.

First time visiting Bethlehem. The hotel was very nice and I enjoyed the historic look. Would have preferred if all hotel staff wore masks given the high COVID-19 community transmission rate but some did not. Suite was spacious and comfortable. Room service was convenient. Great location close to shops and restaurants.

We stayed here on our way East last night and it was great. This time we were able to eat in the restaurant and it was top notch as well. Yes, the room was a little small, but it IS an historic hotel and that is the way things were. We were given a top floor room with a view of the star. It also had great views of the Moravian buildings. The front desk folds were super and the host stand man was as well. There are two restaurants and one has a bar. The room was very clean although the TV remote was not in plastic. It is unfortunate that during the Summer the heat is not functioning as our room had had the AC set at about 65 when we got there. The bathroom was functional but historically small as well. The floor was very quiet and that is appreciated. There are two ballrooms and they must host events galore. There is a lot of history here and we love it. We saw no evidence of it being haunted.
