Parking is easy, the casino is bright airy and inviting. They have so many slot machines you have to find many of your favorite slots. They have an amazing amount of food options. We ate at the Italian fast food stand in the food court and the food was delicious and fairly priced. The bathrooms are immaculate.
Dropped in late at night to find a well priced and extremely modern hotel room with the casino not too far from the rooms...was well kept and staff was great...will be back when I pass through PA on my way East again...
Hey, the Wind Creek is not a bad casino at all. I have been to way too many and this ranks right up there. There's an outlet mall, food court, nice restaurants. But....there's smoking. Once great thing about Covid is that it eliminated most smoking across the country at casinos. That is Wind Creek's only flaw, or I would have given it 5 stars.
This casino continues to get worse. They have so many slots that are down, and there are so many ticket redemption machines that are out of order. It leaves long lines at those that are working, and they only have 2 cage cashiers working so the lines are at least 10 people deep. The worst is that they cater to people who lurk over your shoulder, steal, dig through trashcans, and spit in the floor. I don't understand how this is their desired clientele.
If you want to stay in an outlet and eat a nasty burger at the food court this is your place. Pool was closed, both nice restaurants are surrounded by the casino so no minors allowed and the bathrooms were disgusting. not at all family friendly as the website suggests. I’d maybe go back for a boozy bachelorette party but never again with the kids.
We are locals and have been visiting the property since it was Sands. This is our first review since it has been Wind Creek. We travel to Atlantic City frequently so that is largely what we compare all casino hotels to. HOTEL: They are building a new hotel tower so the lobby has been relocated. This has created somewhat of a disconnect between the lobby and the hotel elevators. This could be temporary until the new hotel is complete sometime this year. We found parking to be more convenient with the current layout. Valet is available for $7 but for able bodied visitors with limited luggage, using it seems an unnecessary luxury. Check in was a breeze. You still need your room key to enter the hotel elevators, however, you only need to hold your key to the reader instead of inserting it, Not much has changed in the rooms and our room still looked fresh and new. Plenty of outlets available for charging electronics etc. There are AV connections available so you can easily connect whatever you like to your room TV (i.e. game console, blue ray player, PC etc). The rooms are conveniently located to the shops, conference rooms and event center. It is a bit of a hike to the casino floor and restaurants. There are plans to expand entertainment options which will make the hotel more centrally located to the rest of the property someday. Gamblers that are being comped a room will be happy to know there are no resort fees, taxes, etc. It truly is a free stay beside any incidentals. CASINO: There are plenty of gaming options. Slot attendants, drink service etc is usually fast if it's not very busy. A good portion of the casino floor is designated as smoking. If you smoke/vape you won't feel overly restricted. This may not be the best place to gamble for those that absolutely despise smoking. It's always a matter of luck but we have no complaints about the slot payout average at Wind Creek when compared to other casinos we've played at over the years. Food credits and free play are easy to come by even with modest play. Of course how much you receive in comps is directly related to your level of play. If your interested in receiving and using comps we highly recommend downloading and familiarizing yourself with the Wind Creek app. In our opinion there is no meaningful advantage to try and obtain higher tier levels as the amount of play needed seems to far outweigh the benefits. BARS\RESTAURANTS: Clearly the pandemic has effected this aspect of Wind Creek as it has most any property. There are plenty of dining options but hours and space is limited. Getting a seat at your preferred restaurant is not guaranteed if you don't plan accordingly. While there is a wide variety of dining option available on the property, there is also a wide variety of options located not far off of the property for those that are willing to venture out. Again, available bars and nightlife are currently limited because of the pandemic. The main bar is the centrally located Coil. Multi-game machines are available at the main bar, but be advised comped drinks are not available to players. It is in a smoking section but also be advised that cigar smoking is not allowed at Coil. CONCLUSION: The one thing we believe sets Wind Creek apart from many other casino hotels is the staff. The dining options in and near the property are sure to satisfy any foodie, taking into account for current situations brought on by the pandemic. Wind Creek is still in the progress of making the former Sands property their own, so one should take this into account before passing final judgement. While some may prefer the casino hotels that cater to the non-smoking crowd, others who are more tolerant will find this property and its variety of options more enjoyable than any other in the area. I'm not sure if I would recommend this hotel to those that do not plan on taking advantage of the rest of the property (i.e. gambling, dining, events, conference space etc). Based on what we have seen so far, the future looks promising for Wind Creek Bethlehem. We have only increased the time we have spent playing and staying here and look forward to what the future holds.…
After reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant to stay here, but my concerns were unfounded. Some mentioned a smoke oder, but my room is fine. Clean, comfortable and quiet. What more do you need in a hotel room? I'm here on business not to gamble. Chose Windcreek for the restaurants because after a long day of travel I don't want to leave the hotel for dinner. I ate at Emeril's Burgers and more, but that's a different review altogether. (Wasn't bad.)
We recently visited mount airy, so I am going to compare the two.. we stayed 1 night at wind creek.. 1) the smoke is a killer. We are staying in a non smoking room and someone has been smoking, it stinks. The casino floor also stinks- mount airy went smoke free and we can breathe there- mount airy wins there. The casino is not loose like they say! We much prefer mount airy where they at least give you something and you can play a while. Not here.. mount airy wins there… you can check in early here and the front staff were very nice and helpful. Same at mount airy. Mount airy has free valet parking and wind creek does not. Pool at mount airy, not here, mount airy wins. Mount airy just cleaner and lovely views- We were going to spend more $ here but saved it for upcoming stay at mount airy. Check out is 10 here which is rushed and early. We like the bars and food here.. but overall, mount airy wins. Wind creek, go smoke free and loosen up the slots abut, if you want folks coming here.…
Casino: horrible all around Bar service, 45 minute wait for a beverage 40% of slot machines were “out of service” There was no casino employees around for assistance, restrooms were filthy Casino was full of smoke Hotel: the key cards died not work on elevator Had to make a trip back to front desk for new cards The overall layout is horrible. No direct route anywhere Crazy to have to pay for valet when you are paying for a room Hotel room does not have a sink in bathroom Horrible
I'd say at least 20% of the slot machines were out of order. Went to a 7pm show and went to go grab a bite to eat. The only thing open in this entire facility after 10pm is no burger and the line was crazy since it was the only thing open. We stayed here overnight and the room was fine, but room service is not offered and basically you can't eat past 10pm, so I give this a 1 star mainly due to that. If you're coming here and want to eat a little later, be prepared to pack food.
