I haven’t encountered a friendlier hotel staff than I have at this hotel. Real FL friendliness. The front desk, hotel windows that open, terrific breakfast .. all made this a very pleasant stay. Historic hotel with original details. Great find.
I have stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Bradenton Downtown Historic District many times since its opening. When I have out-of-town guests visiting, whether business associates or friends and family, I use this hotel. The building is historic. Hilton retained its charm and character when it converted the building into a hotel. The rooms I have stayed in have been spacious. The bathrooms have been updated with sliding doors for the showers. I particularly enjoy the rooms with an outside balcony. Beds are comfortable. The rooms and common areas are exceptionally clean without the odor of cleaning products. The location is perfect. There are restaurants & bars within a block or two. The Riverwalk is just down the street. Anna Maria Island is a short drive right down Manatee Avenue. The staff is wonderful. Recently, I arrived at the hotel late on a Sunday evening. There was an issue with my reservation. Britney was working at the front desk. She made one phone call and everything was resolved. Jordyn is a professional. One Sunday morning, Jordyn was tending to departing guests and at the same time, he was getting the to-go breakfast bags for the guests. Kelly assisted me when I had a problem with the Hilton honors program. Finally, I have to give kudos to Spurgeon. He always has a smile on his face. He welcomes me like I am family. His demeanor is friendly and warm. He is wonderful.…
The hotel itself is beautiful, i believe it was previously a different hotel and they have kept the original hotel details which is very beautiful. Rooms are clean and tidy, as well as the lobby and the breakfast area. Overall in just aesthetics, the hotel is very nice. Where we encountered issues was with the front desk staffing. Our check in was late and we had a decent experience there but since we were traveling with pets, 2 small dogs, there were some issues with understanding the fees on the agents part, but again nothing that wasn’t quickly resolved and by that point we assumed everything was fine. The next day as we are coming in late at night from the beach with our dogs, another person who had not checked us in glanced at us, and was going to go back to her desk but decided she had to acknowledge our dogs by saying. “excuse me but did you register your animals?” like i’m sorry - clearly we’re walking towards the elevators not even looking at the front desk, not hiding our dogs, walking with them as one does when you are LEGALLY staying with your dogs. If my dogs weren’t registered i wouldn’t walk around the hotel as confidently. It was quite rudely spoken, and it had already been the second issue we had in a supposedly “pet friendly” hotel. We stay in Hilton’s all the time, never once have we EVER had an issue with our dogs or with the staff being so rude about us having dogs. The staff outside of front desk was very kind, housekeeping and the breakfast staff as well. For a branded hotel as big as Hampton, i would expect more from their front desk staffing. Perhaps, i had the bad luck of running into agents who just weren’t in the mood, or weren’t fully aware of the policies but as a family who often stays in Hilton hotels, we were quite disappointed especially since Hampton isn’t our preferred brand. Thank you.…
All the staff were for that matter, but they made the stay extra wonderful. This is a really wonderful place to stay and I will be back. - Jonathan Dunn “Get Out of the Porta Potty” YouTube channel 200
Chris, in charge of serving breakfast choices that day, helped tremendously. I was on a knee scooter which restricted how much I was able to carry. He willingly helped carry things for me which he did not have to do. It was a tremendous help and thank him for it.
