We were planning a trip for business and pleasure to Bradenton the middle of April. I booked a condo for our week stay in Bradenton. We were pleasantly surprised to find the condo had been totally renovated. The flooring looked new, the walls were freshly painted, the bathrooms had new vanities and the shower had new tile. The furniture looked new as well. The kitchen was completely stocked with silver ware, dishes, coffee cups, glasses, including wine glasses, pots and pans and there was a crock pot. New fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave looked to be new. There was stackable washer and dryer that looked new. We did not use the washer or dryer. There was a seating area off the kitchen with coffee maker. The master bedroom was large with a king size bed that was quite comfortable, and it's own bathroom with shower. There was also a large tv in the bedroom, the other bedroom was smaller but had it's own tv and bath room across the hall. The living area had a large round table with chairs, and a pass through from the kitchen for easy serving of food. The seating area had a sofa and love seat with a large screen tv, coffee table and end tables with lamps. There were ceiling fans in each room. There was a covered porch that was screened with a table and four chairs, very nice for morning coffee. The condo was decorated with accessories like you would use if you were staging the unit for sell. The condo was very nice!! We were not near the clubhouse or swimming pool or other amenities but that was not an issue for us. If being near the pool, tennis courts, barbecue area is important you need to ask for a unit near those facilities, as there was no place outside our unit to barbecue. There were 6 passes for the swimming pool in the unit, since the rental capacity for this condo was 6 people in the unit, so no need to ask for passes. We were close to the main roads and within 10 to 15 minutes of beaches. There was a large Publix grocery store very close by which has everything anyone would need in the way of food, deli items, bakery, drinks, and they have a pharmacy. There was also a CVS pharmacy across the street from the grocery store as well as several restaurants. We were very pleased with the Condo and the location. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Good: well heated pools, lovely grounds, lots of wildlife including a Roseate Spoonbill - beautiful, excellent location within walking distance of several eateries, take out, supermarkets and a cinema. Comfortable beds and lounge suite.
Less good: accommodation was minimally resourced in the kitchen, only one dishwasher sachet, no laundry detergent, no washing up liquid
For some reason we were given an accessible unit this meant the toilet was open to the bedroom causing privacy issues.
We also had to pay a cleaning charge which our travel agent had not told us about.
If you are interested in a stay at Shorewalk perhaps find a private renter who has upgraded the accommodation.

A nice property with easy access to grocery and other retail stores. The two swimming pools are well maintained and the rules governing them are enforced. Also on the property are tennis/basketball courts, two hot tubs, shuffleboard and bocci.
Everything was great in my condo as all appliances were in good working order. The TV was confusing and I couldn’t find any info on channels or operation of the TV. Having a bike would be a great asset as there are paved pathways throughout. For those without transportation, be prepared to walk a lot. Layout of this property is confusing so be sure to obtain a map. Office hours run from 8:30 - 3:30 so if you have issues don’t wait. In my opinion, these hours require reconsideration. Response to maintenance issues appears very prompt. I enjoyed my two week stay and would happily return. As a side note, local transportation is quite good and seniors get substantial discounts. I recommend using the buses at least once.

Stay here if you like socialism.
Stay here if you like having to show your ‘papers’ to do anything (swim in the pool, play on the playground, use the tennis courts, or anything else).
Stay here if you like having to make reservations for the amenities you paid to use (hot tubs, grills, basketball hoop, tennis court, pickle ball, clubhouse).
Stay here if you don’t want to be able to bring a kids toy to the pool for your children.

Don’t stay here if you want a normal vacation.

The choice is yours, but I’ll be looking for a new vacation stay.

We booked this condo through VRBO and have had no issues with the owner. This review is specifically for the Shorewalk staff. We were given one pool pass by the owner and had been using it for several days for the three of us. We were kicked out of the pool on our third day because they claimed we needed a pool pass for each person. Ok, no problem except they will not give us a way to obtain other passes. I’m still confused as to why we are being punished when we paid to be here and use the pools. The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful if you do not book directly through them. We have stayed here multiple times and will not be back after how we were treated.

We arrived after flight from England around 20.00 ( local time), the office was closed, we spoke to the Manager , who at first said “ all arrivals today have been booked in and there is no record of our booking “.
I asked her to come to the office which she duly did ten minutes later.
She admitted it was a mistake on their part, we were booked in for September,!!, ( because in England we put the month second, after the day and in the states it is month first, anyway it was quickly rectified and we were allocated a nice tidy Condo on the first floor.
The condo was clean and spacious and we would recommend Shorewalk
I would point out that there is a $140 cleaning charge ( which we were not told about), this was unexpected but was duly paid.
We used the pool a couple of times, it was absolutely fine, plenty of beds etc

We often stayed in Shorewalk in the 1990's & early 2000's & always had an excellent time.
In more recent years we have rented Villas with a private pool but we managed to get in an extra trip recently & opted for Shorewalk renting from a private owner.
We really enjoyed our vacation, the whole area was clean & well kept as it was years ago.
The strict Pool rules are for a reason, years ago when the minimum rental dropped from 3 nights to 2 nights it attracted a lot of party weekend breaks from people coming from Tampa or wherever, this caused plenty of problems particularly in the Pool areas, in fact very often the Pools had to be closed because of someone using them as a toilet !
So we appreciate Shorewalk enforcing the rules again as they used to, remember some Condos are lived in full time.
Shorewalk has always been at or near the top of our list of vacation properties & will continue to be so.
We are from Weymouth, Dorset U.K. & always take our vacations in Bradenton/Sarasota & sometimes the Space Coast.

Let me note that I have stayed here before, but only dealt with condo owner, and everything went fine. This trip I booked through Travelocity and had to interact with the office. First issue…check-in is at 5. I understand that due to Covid-19 protocols, but office closes at 3? They really need to extend their office hours. We had no info on our unit, or what procedure was in place for us to check in “after hours” because no one answered the phone, or called us back to answer our questions. We took a chance and just showed up. There was an unlocked wide open key box outside the office filled with envelopes with your name on it. Inside the envelope was you key and directions to your room. This is not safe because anyone can grab one of your keys, and know where you are staying. The Room was clean, but definitely outdated. Master bathroom was nice though. Stay went ok until day 6 which is the day before my checkout. Office called and said I needed to come do my paperwork before 3pm? I did so, and they told me I needed to leave a $200 deposit? I was aware of a deposit, but this is the day before I leave, and I assumed they did this upon Check-in. She told me I should have come in the day after I got there when the office was open to do my paperwork…at their convenience of course! I filled out the page and then she said $250 deposit. When I questioned the price difference, she looked confused and said she never said $200. I didn’t have the energy to argue and just left. I was in town for my mother’s funeral, and the last thing I needed to do is their job. The $250 hold made my travel plans home difficult. I will not stay here again and do not recommend it due to their customer service.

I have been at Shorewalk a couple times in the recent years and I like to overall experience of it a lot. It is very close to the beach, a lot of dining places and other amenities like shops, cinema, bowling place. It has on-site pool, 2 tennis courts, BBQ grilles and a club house with a billard table. Since the units are mostly owned by individuals the furniture and equipment can differ in between the units, ours was relatively fresh updated with an open kitchen area, new laminate flooring and furniture.
Check in has to be done ba 5pm, otherwise there is a letter box at the office to pick up the envelope with your keys and instructions. This could be reconsidered since it is not fail-safe, but it´s kind of "ok" for my liking.

This place is horrible! The interior is falling apart, the furniture is scratched and the seat cushions are cut. There were bugs everywhere. The "office" is of no help: to begin with, since they are painting the exterior of the units, they took down the sign that identified that unit as the office. There are no signs in the parking lot or on the road to lead you to that building. We walked/drove around for 20 minutes at 10 PM until we got someone on the phone who helped. The office is only open until 3PM, but checkin starts at 5PM! So it is guaranteed that there is never going to be anyone to help you. Of the 4 beds in the 2 bedrooms, 3 of them are twins on wheels, so if you lean up against it, you (and the bed) go flying. There HAS to be a better place to stay.!

Some owners charge a deposit to reserve a condo but not a security deposit. The condos are individually owned so terms and conditions can vary

When I went last year, they didn’t have a policy on children. It is a very family-friendly place to stay! And you pick which days you would like to stay! I’m not sure how long you’re planning on staying but we stayed for 1 week and we loved it! It has a grocery store a few minutes away and they beach is only about 15 minutes from the condo!
