We checked in for my niece's graduation. The keys did not work three times and they finally gave us another room. We asked for fresh towels the next day, and they brought them and left all of the wet towels in the bathroom. It was very hard to find enough outlets to plug our electronics in, and when I looked behind the night stand, there was an open bag of cookies on the floor with crumbs spilled out. We came back after being out and there was a garbage bag tied to the door that had replacement soap and shampoo, but it was really tacky and a strange way of doing this. Someone had been smoking weed in the hall and the whole 8th floor smelled really strongly from this. The whole hotel seemed dirty and very dated, and we did not have a good experience at all

The hotel was very clean and quiet. Our king room was spacious! Looked to have been renovated recently. Jacki the night manager was great very friendly and welcoming. Will stay again. The hotel is right on the UD campus.

On February 9th I checked into the Crowne Plaza Hotel located in Dayton, OH. Upon approaching the front desk I was greeted as though I was disturbing the workers day. The woman was as friendly as a rattlesnake. When I asked about the ability to check in early which I notated in my reservation, she made a huff sound like I was asking her to go out of her way. I eventually was given my room key and told where the elevators were. I was not told any other information about the hotel or it’s policy’s. When I entered my room I hadn’t noticed the wine and cheese I asked for neither was I on a club floor granted I knew there was a potential that they wouldn’t offer it as it wasn’t a guarantee, I called down to the front desk and asked I was told well I don’t know I’ll transfer you to the sales manager, the phone rang than hung up. Rather than disturb the woman again I decided to chalk this up as a no. The room was Basic I didn’t feel welcomed which made the entire stay uncomfortable. I unfortunately used points so now I’ll not get a chance to stay at a proper hotel. I typically stay at Hilton properties as I feel the IHG experience has diminished over the past few years. This was not the experience I expected and I hope this message gets to Managment before someone else experiences this as well.

The hotel is fine, it’s just a big inconvenience having to go downstairs to use the microwave. No microwaves in the room, other than that it is okay. Rooms are clean, hotel shuttle runs every so often.

When booking I requested a quiet area of the hotel and extra pillows. At check in Misti greeted us and let me know my pillows were already up at the room that she personally took them up herself. She was very helpful. The hotel is older but was clean and everyone we observed during our stay practiced safe distancing and mask wearing. Will come stay again, thanks Misti and Crowne Plaza team!
