This nice little B&B is an absolutely wonderful location for a weekend getaway. Mardja is an absolutely incredible host, and goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. I stayed with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day weekend and we had a fabulous time. Breakfasts were absolutely incredible and when we get around to visiting... More

Mardja was great and courteous. We stayed in the Rhett and Scarlett which was beautiful, and had a gone with the wind theme to it. The breakfast was delicious. Wonderful location and can never complain about a military discount.

My wife and I spent a night at Mardja's B&B, The Goodbread Inn, there in St. Marys, and it was great. She is so kind and helpful, and the room we stayed in was perfect. So was the food she served for breakfast. And the complimentary wine. We sipped wine and relaxed on the Wide second story deck, down the... More

My husband and I stayed her during our honeymoon Sept 30th-Oct 5th. The owner, Mardja is a true southern hostess. She had a new breakfast each morning that always had me and my husband excited to try because everything was so delicious and filling. We stayed in the Rhett and Scarlett which was a beautiful spacious room with a tub... More

Had a wonderful time in a beautiful, old bed and breakfast. The inn was clean and charming and the innkeeper, Mardja was so pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were great and the accommodations were cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect and within walking distance to the waterfront. Glad we stayed at this small, quaint inn instead of the noisier... More

The Goodbread House Bed & Breakfast was one of the best experiences I have had at a B&B. And all to the credit of its proprietor, Mardja. Loved the fireplace in the bathroom and another in the bedroom. The parlor, warm and inviting and porches upstairs and down relaxing. The location to activities in Saint Mary's and it's restaurants' and... More

When we checked in, I thought the place was old and cute. Then I began to feel like the entire establishment was furnished through yard sales. We went to sit down in the general living room and the antique chairs sunk in so deep due to popped springs that I almost spilled my drink. There was no design cohesion. I... More

My fiance and I stayed this past weekend. Our room was big and the bed was comfortable, but the house seemed cluttered. The walls in this place are very thin so if you are planning to have a wild weekend in the sheets, keep it down....while we were in the parlor we could hear the couple in the room above... More

You could feel very comfortable in the Good House Bread bed and breakfast. Even before we arrived, Marja had everything under control. She booked our ferry tickets, reserved our tickets for the Cumberland Island National Park Land & Legacy tour (told us exactly what to expect), and had our lunches packed. The whole staff is very welcoming and go out... More

Recently, I took my soon-to-be fourteen year-old-son to St.Mary's where we stayed at the Good bread House while taking a day trip to Cumberland Island. Initially, I chose the inn because of its excellent reviews here, the reasonable prices of the rooms, and the fact that the rooms offered two beds, a rarity for a bed and breakfast. We stopped...
