Other than being close to Craters of the Moon, I have nothing positive to say about this place. Small, narrow sites. Musty, smelly bathroom/showers with soaking wet indoor/outdoor carpet. Waited 45 minutes at the restaurant (just 30 minutes after it opened) to find out that they were out of ribs, baked potatoes, and everything else we wanted to order. Way over-priced for what they have to offer.
I think 1 star is still to generous. Started off that we reserved and paid for 50amp service, but was placed in a 30amp spot. Then when my husband went down to get it cleared up she had charged us more then our cousins who were right next to us. It was determined that she gave our cousins a discount. Since they shouldn’t have received that discount they went down to his spot and asked for more money instead of eating it. We picked this spot because we were told they had good BBQ, but that was closed. Then when it was time to check out we were an hour late from checkout. Checkout is 10:00 and not a minute past. The owner made a comment that he really hates it when people hang out after checkout. Mind you, we were unplugging things. I even told the owner that we just needed to dump the tanks and we would be out of here. Just wanted to make sure we were aware that we owed him $20. Then as we were about to pull out he putts his damn golf cart so close to us and reminds us we owe him $20. We will NEVER come back to this place again.…
Nice park with mature shade trees and ample room between spaces. Great place to base yourself to explore surrounding mountains! Easy to find and very easy in and out.Nice owners with cheery personalities.
Our experience was great until they started irrigating. They have zero concern for your RV or any of your items outside. The back of our vehicle is covered. On two occasions I had the back open and they manually turned on the sprinkler. It drowned everything in the back the vehicle, the side of the rv and truck up to the windows, and the bbq that was outside. On the other side they turned on another sprinkler and it drowned our steps into the rv, the cooler that was outside (it is a 12v electric cooler), and the door into the rv. This happened every other day. If we had not paid for an extended stay we would have left. If you do not mind having everything drowned and then put up with the hard water spots this is your place.
Kept tripping our 30 amp surge protector. Mgr very rude treating me like I’m stupid. Bathroom/showers have no air conditioner so steamy hot. Only one shower worked. Their web page doesn’t say their restaurant is only open on Thursday Friday and Saturday. KOA in town is a much better choice.
