Having trouble with our 2019 truck, we wanted the nicest park reasonably close to Idaho Falls for an indefinite period. This park had the highest reviews. A phone call later, the owner was as accommodating as we needed. After having just been in Alpine, Wyoming, this area initially looked pretty bland. But not the park. Given the ‘almost semiarid high desert’ ecosystem, the park is exceptional. Beautiful trees (which could present fixed satellite tv reception interference) provided great shade for sitting outside. Easily accessible from the main roads (therefore you have the trade off of some road noise). Any park that has an on-site restaurant with great food is going to be to our liking. No cable, but very good internet. Truly an oasis in the desert.
This is an RV Resort, not a hotel. We had a very nice time, it was too short and we will return for a longer visit. Every RV site has plenty of shade, full hook ups and dump station, laundry, miniature golf course, restaurant and full bar. WiFi is free. The owners keep the grounds lush and green. Ron was very helpful and courteous. Dogs on a leash are allowed. This RV park is close to Mackay if you're looking to have off road adventures. We saw an abundance of wildlife.
The park seemed to be very clean with lots of mature trees. Due to COVID-19 the bathrooms, showers, restaurant and laundry facilities were all closed. We had just come from an Idaho State Park where bathroom and shower facilities were open, so we were surprised... especially since we weren’t told when we booked our spot a few days prior. 😕 Also, the grass in our little spot was really dry and there was really no suitable place to set up our camp chairs and propane fire pit. Overall, what we thought would be a really fun stay just turned into a place to park the RV and sleep.
Horrible. Turned away for having a older but totally renovated and self contained camper. They were RUDE and I had reservations. Also had to schedule showers, not a problem because we left and went to the KOA. That is a nice place with great people and excellent food.
Other than being close to Craters of the Moon, I have nothing positive to say about this place. Small, narrow sites. Musty, smelly bathroom/showers with soaking wet indoor/outdoor carpet. Waited 45 minutes at the restaurant (just 30 minutes after it opened) to find out that they were out of ribs, baked potatoes, and everything else we wanted to order. Way over-priced for what they have to offer.
