We stayed here for one night in late August (but actually came here to eat/drink/hang out for 3 days!) I booked a hotel valley view room only 2 months in advance, and considered myself lucky I was able to get a room at all. The feeling you get when you walk into this hotel is incredible. It's unlike anything I've... More

Nothing like sitting on that porch in a rocking chair holding a drink while looking down at the gorgeous blue lake- or seeing the sunset. Accommodations left a lot to be desired -our room had one window - looking out on parking lot. No place for clothing. No a/c, but fan provided. Had to beg for a reservation months in... More

We stayed at Crater Lake Lodge with our two boys during a visit to the Crater Lake. The lodge is a modernized hotel in which the original Hotel was taken apart piece by piece, structurally reinforced and then put back together. In doing so they kept it looking and feeling as original but with nice amenities including an elevator, heaters... More

Our Lakeside view room was the very last room on the 2nd floor which we thought would be fine but when we went into the room we discovered that due to the hillside our room was level with the main lake viewing path which meant that people walking on this path could look straight into our room - there weren't... We were only able to book one night in this hotel despite trying to book many months in advance. As a result the only room we could book was a standard room on the fourth floor - valley view. The room itself was spacious enough for one night as we didn't unpack much. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom... More

Our experience here was limited to the lobby, front desk, patio and dining room. The no frill rooms only sleep two people so we needed two rooms for our family and we didn't book far enough in advance to get the two rooms for the time we wanted (reservations open up 13 months in advance, I tried 11 months ahead... This room was superior to other "historic" hotel rooms where I have stayed. This hotel was remodeled in the 1990's but furnishings and finishes have a authentic old-fashioned look. The cute bathroom had a combination tub/shower. We had a small, standard room with a "partial view" because of a tree. Not really a problem. The hotel was full but I... More

Crater lake lodge is unique, in its architecture, location, and the beauty surrounding the lodge. To have the time and walk around the lake and sit at the Lodge verandah to watch the sunsets or sunrises. This is the place to be. the room is adequate, spacious, bathroom clean, bed is nice. But we had the bottom floor and the... More

Beautiful old and renovated historic lodge. Has much history. There is an exhibit on main floor. Patio has panoramic view of crater lake. There are bamboo rockers to sit on and enjoy. You can order refreshments and snacks. Gorgeous fireplace indoors. Restaurant is usual american seafood and steak fare and tasty. Dinner and breakfast were prepared well and service is... More

What a fantastic place, helped immeasurably by the view. The weather was perfect, the stars brilliant. We chose one of the Loft rooms, as we wanted a lake view was totally worth it. Had 2 Queens one upstairs looking north, entry room bed looked south, bathroom upstairs. Bed very comfortable, great linens. Everyone very friendly, they must love working there.
