The (historic) hotel is old and the room could use some updating but you cannot beat the view. Our room looked out straight into the lake and it was amazing waking up to that tranquil sight. Make sure to catch the sunrise from the balcony. The lodge has a charming rustic beauty. You could just hang out by the lobby... More

Is it expensive? Yes but it is worth the proximity to the lake and amazing view of the night sky. The lodge is dimly lit so yes it is hard to find at night when we finally reached the park. For the price you are paying do not expect a luxury hotel but who comes to a National Park for... More

We made a reservation here for one night because the place was so crowded that's all we could get. It is a stately place that overlooks the Lake. The back deck area is so nice. It has rockers and they even had blankets for us in the evening. The rooms are elegant and decorated in a era from yesteryear. We... More

Crater Lake is one of nature's beautiful gifts that constantly draws your gaze. The Lodge is the only place where you can stay right along the lake. The lodge's rooms are somewhat ordinary but have plenty of space - we were in a Deluxe Lakeside room with 2 Queen beds. Our shower's water pressure fluctuated during the day. It was... More

This is just the perfect old historic lodge! Rustic, very clean, very old school. Takes you back 100+ years to a time when life was more simple. No tv in rooms. Very low lighting. Not many plug ins. If you can get by without your high tech gadgets for a while, this is the place for you. Rocking chairs on... More

A majestic lodge located right next door to Crater Lake. Rooms are spacious but outdated. There are no TV's in the rooms and cellular service is not available. This is the place to relax and truly enjoy nature and the beauty of the Lake. Staff is friendly and the offer ranger talks each day on the spacious porch. The rocking... More

I've stayed at National Park Lodges in the past, and this location really needs some updates and renovations. Our room was a standard queen, $200+ a night. The bed and linens were acceptable. The furniture was old and stained. The heating system needed to be cleaned or serviced, we woke up with bad headaches. I had to ask the desk... More

When we arrived at the Lodge for a 2 night stay which we had booked 18 months earlier, it was cold with a strong wind. It took an age standing in a draughty reception to get booked in. the receptionist suggested reserving a table for dinner as the nearest alternative was their bungalows 7 miles down the mountain. The room... More

Good: the lakeview is stunning. Waking up with that view is breathtaking. Bad: (well not so good) the rooms are tired looking and very small. Ugly: the windows need to be replaced NOW. The weekend we were there the winds were very strong and it was was very cold. You could feel the wind all around the windows and as... More

What makes this historic lodge so spectacular is Crater Lake. The rooms are large and adequately furnished. The dining room prepares above average meals with above average prices. But the view is worth every cent. You can sit on the terrace and watch the magnificent sunset over the lake with brushstrokes of colors across the lake and sky. As the... More
