Hotel was very clean and in a great location. Restaurant had great, reasonably priced breakfast. The temperature was in the 90s and pool was not yet opened which was a disappointment. However it is right on the beach, luckily we brought beach chairs, so we survived. Hair Conditioner was not part of the toiletries provided. Which we needed. Great view,...

We spent two nights at this hotel on a very cold & rainy weekend (U.S. Coast Guard Graduation) so we were unable to fully enjoy the surrounding area, which has a few neat shops and great restaurants within easy walking distance. We were on the 3rd floor (room 305) waterfront and had a fabulous view of the beach and bridge....

Stayed for a weekend at the Duke of York Hotel. The hotel is right on the river, and although there are 2 separate buildings it looks like all rooms have a water view. Rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors have a private balcony, while 4th and 5th floors have chairs on the walkway outside the room. Inside my room...

This has been a wonderful weekend filled everything needed for rest, relaxing, sun, sand and surf! This is an older property BUT was extremely clean and taken care off and even had some updates to the bathrooms. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeper was extremely professional, courteous, pleasant and very helpful. We had a king room with a...

The Duke of York is the only water front hotel in Yorktown and the views are amazing. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is within walking distance to a lot of activities and a short drive to Williamsburg.

Great location. Great river views. Older property, but clean and comfortable. Miss Marjorie at the front desk was lovely and engaging. Could have used a separate bar of soap in the shower, and some conditioner, otherwise ok.

We stayed here for one night while visiting someone at the Coast Guard training center nearby. This is a great hotel to have easy access to your loved one. The hotel is dated, but everything was very clean. It has a great water view from all rooms. We stayed on the top floor. I would recommend that. It is away...

Right down on the water in historic Yorktown. All rooms have a view looking out over the water. Only 20 minutes from Williamsburg via scenic Colonial Parkway. Parkway goes right to the Visitors Center where you can park and take shuttle into the historic area. Beach right across the street from the hotel. Quiet and comfortable. Fairly reasonable.

This was our second stay at Duke of York. Our first was during the snow storm in January. Storm pretty much brought things to a halt including the restaurant. I think two rooms were occupied but the ladies at reception desk wonderful and maids coped as best they could. Main roads clear but road to hotel and parking lot very...
