Dorothy & Sam are wonderful hosts who pay attention to every B&B detail like FOUR sets of binoculars for guests to use for birdwatching, warm fireplaces, great coffee & tea, & goat milk toiletries! Breakfasts were delightful and better than we EVER have at home. Dinner was gourmet, local, delicious, and paired with local wines. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for your review. We are pleased to offer our guests with local hospitality: Willcox Wine, Udderly Natural Products, cage free eggs, fresh vegetables from our strawbale garden and Avalos Community Supported Agriculture and more. But most of all, we love sharing the wonders of the Chiricahua's, Southeast Arizona and our Historic Adobe Guesthome in the ghost town of Dos Cabezas with our guests. Safe travels.

Nearest Chiracahua- one of the most beautiful hikes we’ve ever done. Ever. Amazing Food and Hospitality - yay Sam and Dorothy! They are AZ treasures! Sam produced incredible meals that included vegan recipes he tested out beforehand for our daughter to make sure they were delicious. Do NOT miss out on any dinners! Accommodations are quite simple - the hospitality, extraordinary.

Thank you for your review and staying with us on your first visit to the Chiricahua's. Yes, even in winter, it is a spectacular place to hike, though the ice and snow can be somewhat challenging without proper gear. We enjoyed having your family. Safe travels.

Dos Cabezas Retreat Bed & Breakfast turned out to be the most pleasant experience. They are ideally located in most enchanted area. The landscape beauty and the history coupled with our hosts knowledge of how to get the most of our limited time was great. In addition, the breakfasts were top notch. We opted for an evening meal the second night, and this normally requires a 48 hour notice, but Sam and Dorothy graciously accommodated our request and we enjoyed one extraordinary meal. One so pleasant time was the first evening sitting on our hosts front porch having a glass of wine, watching the hummingbirds and talking with Dorothy and Sam. From beginning to end this started our trip off in a "hard to beat" experience. Our visit was Sept 18-19, 2019.

Not sure how anyone could give a rating other than five stars. The owners are great and the accommodations were perfect. Sam is a great cook! Just a great time out in the boonies of southeast Arizona. Nice base for winery hopping or hiking in the Chiricahuas.

Driving in to Dos Cabezas is like stepping back in the time of the wild west. Approaching the gate to the bed and breakfast, opening the gate, and driving through it helps to slow the mind and heart from big city life. Dorothy and Sam have made their small western bed and breakfast into the perfect getaway. From the delicious dinner and breakfast to the local reading material and bed warmers, they have thought of everything. They are the perfect hosts, sitting with us over breakfast, trading stories of our lives. I'm sorry for the single negative review. I'm sorry for the family's loss and I'm sorry that they don't understand that this is your Sam and Dorothy's livelihood. Sam is definitely a good person and we are lucky to have met him! We will be back and stay longer!

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review. Most of all thank you for sharing your mother and her life in the Chiricahua's and at Far Away Ranch. We laughed and cried as they touched our hearts. We welcome your return with open arms.
