Awesome location out of town and with amazing views. Highly recommend the beautiful location. Great clean big rooms surrounded by beautiful scenery. Awesome event space and great access to local attractions. Relaxing hotel away from the mobs. Pools, workout room, spa and other extras. Staff was very informative and accommodating.
As we entered our room (214). I saw chocolate candies by the T.V. One of the chocolates was eaten by a mouse. It had left mouse droppings by the eaten candy. I went to the front desk. Two women (younger woman and older woman) had accompanied back to the room. The younger woman was very rude and told me what do you expect we are out by the country. They both offered to clean the room and put us back into the same room. No, I don't want to stay here. We can put you another room. I sure there are more than one mouse in this hotel. I'm not staying here. The younger lady left and did not apologize. The older woman was nicer, she said she wouldn't charge us for the room. Another younger girl at the front desk called Tresure Valley. I was able to book a room there. I do not see how this hotel rated excellent. It is far from excellent.…
Had planned a weekend getaway for our 10 year anniversary, so we booked the spacious King suite which has a kitchen, living area, patio, two bathrooms, etc. however, while VERY clean- it lacked the thoughtfulness and empathy that shows attention to detail which separates the ‘okay’ with good hospitality. - for a king suite with a kitchen and dishwasher, simple glassware and utensils should be available. There wasn’t a single utensil in any of the drawers or cabinets, and I checked every single one. We champagne toasted in paper coffee cups, and before management suggests calling down to the kitchen, I will prior counter- “what’s the point of a kitchen in the suite then?” - the patio area needs to have some attention: ripped cushions, gouges in the stucco, broken tiles, wasp nests While our weekend getaway was nice, it was definitely not enhanced by staying in the nicer king suite and I won’t be suggesting this location to any friends or family.…
I had heard great things about the original restaurant so we decided to check this one out as the other one was very busy tonight. This one was maybe half full when we came. The service was VERY slow. Waited almost 15 minutes for drinks. Salads (just lettuce and a couple cherry tomatoes) were served at the same time as entrees. Steaks were good! Restaurant was very clean! Would definitely return for the food and hopefully receive better service next time.
This place feels like it’s in the middle of no where. Well off the beaten track, so to speak, that our GPS got pretty wonky and we almost got lost. It’s tucked back past a youth ranch, up in the hills. Beautiful spot, really. There is absolutely nothing nearby, and no restaurant on site. Sulphur is about 12 miles from this hotel, so be sure to stock up on food, drinks, snacks, etc before turning in for the night 🤔. We arrived in March, and I’m not sure if it’s always empty, or it’s just off season. It felt like a ghost town, which was great for us. It’s like it was our own personal retreat! It states that it offers spa services, but that was closed while we were there, as was the restaurant. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The pool and hot tub were great! And the gym facilities are a gym rats dream come true! Best gym facilities I’ve ever used at a hotel, for sure. We had a standard double queen room. It comes with a small refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker, with standard 2 coffees, 1 decaf, 1 tea, sugar and powdered creamer. The beds were comfortable and clean. The shower pressure was just OK, and it seemed like the water never got hot enough (I like really hot showers on cold days). One complaint we had, the door had a rather large gap all around it. Not noticeable in the day. But at night, it’s like there was a bright night light on at all times. Kind of annoying. The hallway is kept well lit, for obvious reasons, so this gap allowed a lot of light inside. We resolved to line the floor under the door with extra towels and that helped a little. I would recommend eye guards if you like a dark room to sleep in, as the sides of the door couldn’t be covered, so the light still came in😳. There is one washer and one dryer, free for guests to use, soap costs 0.75. There are vending machines with crappy sandwiches and junk food, didn’t use those. And one microwave in the room where the vending machines are located. We brought our food to one of the (many) empty “conference” rooms and eat there, as it was too windy outside on our days there. However, there are outside patio areas that were available as well. Overall, very nice place.…
