The facility and staff are decent. The food is very good but they only serve breakfast and dinner. If someone else owned the property we would go back, however, under the current management people of color would not feel welcome. The owners are not focused on customer service and run the place like their own personal palace. We heard several derogatory comments from the owner that turned our stomaches. The facility is really "glamping" and falls well short of their 5-star trip advisor rating. The owner touts his religious believes but lives a life of open racism. The facility is a 3.5 out of 5 compared to other resorts we have stayed, but for us, we will not go back because we do not want to contribute to the owners success. I encourage the owners to spend more time reading the bible than spreading hatred to his guests. To the owners: I hope god opens your heart to more diverse thinking or at least provides you with a mute button, so that you don't offend future guests. God Bless!

We wanted a special anniversary get away...so we booked the Echo Canyon Resort. When we arrived, we were a little taken back with the conditions of the grounds when we first pulled in. Then we met the owners...the first class experience began. Our room was over the top great...the bed was one of the most comfortable that we had experienced. We booked the evening dinner meal....and wow...was it ever special. We had a wonderful salad...then came the main course. Baked halibut, roasted duck and one of the best prime filets that i've EVER had!! Then came a wonderful dessert....that we took with us for a later treat in our room. We were so full...and the food was truly a 5-star experience. Breakfast came with the room...and again, it was over the top excellent. What stood out to us was how comfortable the surroundings were...and the excellent service by everyone. So...don't be fooled by the un-mown grass...you will have an awesome experience at this hidden jewel.

Echo Canyon Resort is so easy to find yet is isolated and you quickly find yourself immersed in pure quiet and peace. My wife and stayed in the Cabernet Castle. Although we saw no other rooms while we were there, we highly recommend this fantastically beautiful suite. With a high end Jason Jacuzzi right in the room. The picture on their website is exactly spot on. I requested rose petals and the wow factor was through the roof. It may sound simplistic, but my wife loved this extra touch. On our balcony were a couple of comfortable rocking chairs, a patio chair and a table. We watched deer and racoons from our balcony come by to eat and just kind of wander around. The couples massage was truly relaxing. It was my wife's first professional massage and she was a tad nervous, but the therapist quickly put her to ease and my wife said it was amazing! The dinner was an experience in itself. It's a set menu and changes day to day. We had Prime cut Filet, Roast Duck and Alaskan Halibut flown in from Alaska. All three! Mercy. Yes we each got a box to take with us what we could not finish. The food was presented wonderfully and very tasty! Joe and Carol Van Horn, the owner/operators are so down to earth. It was easy to talk with them and we walked away feeling as though we made two new friends. Please go! You will love it. This was a truly amazing escape for us. Thank you Joe and Carol for doing what you do.

This is our third time to stay at Echo Canyon. We can't get enough. The staff is on point and the accommodations are set for romance. We love the chance to get away from work, kids, and our everyday lives to enjoy time with each other. The couples massages are perfect to help us relax. The rooms have all the details to make it a perfect romantic room. They are extremely quiet - we never heard anyone in the rooms beside us. The mattresses are super comfortable for a good night's sleep. Make sure to book a dining experience. The dinners are 5-star. It's a joy to wake up in the morning, go in for breakfast and be able to sit at the window and enjoy the birds eating beside you at their feeder and the deer below grazing in plain site. Such a magical place!

We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and it was just the quick getaway we needed!!! Everyone there was wonderful!!! We had a wonderful view from our room, and a very relaxing environment. We had dinner there on the night of our arrival and it was phenomenal. I didn’t think I liked duck but the way they prepare it is amazing...maybe my favorite thing on the plate. Breakfast every morning was top notch as well. We loved watching the birds out the window at breakfast. We had couples massages and pedicures the second morning after breakfast and everyone was very professional and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making our stay so relaxing!!
