My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Echo Canyon. We were looking for a quite weekend get-a-way and found it. Echo Canyon was a peaceful and rustic retreat with excellent amenities that my wife and I utilized. Our first meeting was with the hostess Embria, who showed us around the place, the dinning room, the spa, the grounds and our room, which was very comfortable. The antiques all around the resort are spectacular. The owners, Joe and Carol are very friendly and were quick to help us with anything we needed. Our breakfasts in the morning were excellent and the one night we ate dinner at the resort was fantastic. The staff, especially Cheyenne and Grace, were very friendly and took good care of us while we were eating.
Our room overlooked the creek and all the trees. We stayed in the Merlot Canyon View (Suite #3), which had an excellent view of canyon creek. But there was a room above us. If you ask for Suite #1, #2, #5, or #6, there are no rooms above them so your view isn't interrupted by some columns.
My wife and I will definitely go back for a quite peaceful vacation.

We travel for business and stay at different locations in different accommodations, but mostly we travel to Oklahoma. We've been staying at Echo Canyon for 10 years on a consistant basis for business. We enjoy staying at Echo Canyon in a large part because it is like going on a mini vacation while still working and has the friendly attributes of home. Joe and Carol Van Horn, the owners, are extremely welcoming and always very accommodating. There are usually 3 of us traveling together. One of my friends has special dietary needs. These dietary needs are always met and the staff goes over and above all of our needs and requests. For those of us who can't make the complimentary breakfast because of leaving for work in the early morning, Carol makes sure we have a premade breakfast to take with us. Joe and his staff have served us refreshing cocktails at poolside and at the beautiful bar after serving us a delicious dinner. The bar is amazing in itself a beautiful piece of furniture inside a beautifully decorated building with a fabulous fireplace. I also think that the variety of the wine selection can't be beat served by Joe, himself, who is very generous with the pours. I can't say enough about the delectable food, exquisite wine and service! My steaks are always prepared exactly how I like them. All have always been outstanding. We've stayed in several rooms all are extremely clean, unique and decorated with special handpicked antiques. It's hard to believe you're in southern rural Oklahoma. The Resort is located in a very quiet surreal environment. At almost anytime of the day or evening you will see several different types of wildlife. Deer, wild pigs, turkeys, birds, squirrels and (jaguarundi, look it up it's for real), and not to forget the welcoming committee, several friendly dogs and a couple of cats. Anything you need or want all you have to do is ask! We've never written a review before but after reading a couple of what seemed to be unfavorable reviews, we thought it was time to tell everyone how far from the truth those reviews are. This is an amazing place and I guess it's true since we've stayed at Echo Canyon now going on 11 years as often as we can!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary and this was our first visit to a resort. We stayed in the Chardonnay Chalet suite. The staff was very friendly and the tour guide upon arrival was a nice touch. The room itself was a nice size, tastefully decorated, with a very comfy bed. There was a lingering musty smell in the room almost smelled like a cigar but we just kept a candle burning they had in the room. I thought the rooms were non smoking so maybe before the next customer an ionization treatment would be nice. The jacuzzi tub was nice but it did not seat both of us comfortably which was disappointing but we still enjoyed it. The microwave/fridge in the bathroom was odd and unnecessary since there was a plug in and space in the foyer. Dinner at the restaurant was good but not worth the price ($69 per person). The salad was decent but for this price I would expect fresh baked rolls or bread and instead we were served garlic toast. The entree had 3 meats: halibut which was a bit over cooked, steak cooked nice but under seasoned, and then there was the duck with plum sauce that was the smallest portion but the best thing on the plate. The green beans and twice baked potato were both very bland. Dessert was included and was good but nothing special. The best part of dinner was the peach champagne. Breakfast was included with our stay and there was a variety on the plate but the food was just okay. The best part of our stay was the massage. The massage was amazing and definitely worth the trip!

This is our third time to stay at Echo Canyon. We can't get enough. The staff is on point and the accommodations are set for romance. We love the chance to get away from work, kids, and our everyday lives to enjoy time with each other. The couples massages are perfect to help us relax. The rooms have all the details to make it a perfect romantic room. They are extremely quiet - we never heard anyone in the rooms beside us. The mattresses are super comfortable for a good night's sleep. Make sure to book a dining experience. The dinners are 5-star. It's a joy to wake up in the morning, go in for breakfast and be able to sit at the window and enjoy the birds eating beside you at their feeder and the deer below grazing in plain site. Such a magical place!

This place is so beautiful and I can’t wait to get my husband here for a romantic weekend after experiencing my weekend girls spa day!
The food is amazing! Nothing is spared when it comes to quality and taste. The steak duck and halibut was to die for!! Their mimosas are made from the peaches on the plantations. They make juices etc all natural grown right there on the land! Super high quality. They had wonderful accommodations. Had all you needed and then some!
I was disappointed in the spa package with the price charged. Very over priced!! A tech made it clear she had a problem with the Asians in the same field. I’ve had better pedicures by the Asians. Not super impressed with the massage and the facial was a mix of ice and hot towels back and forth. I can do that at home! Very pricey for these treatments. If I pay for a facial I want the chemicals that exfoliate, cleanse and renew. Not ice and hot towels. That was a waste of money.
I would definitely return though! A beautiful unique place.

My wife and I went to Echo Canyon Spa resort for her birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The first thing that I was impressed by was the courteous and professional staff. It is rare that you find a business where all the staff seem happy to be working here but that is the case at Echo Canyon. While here we sat at the bar with the owner who shared a lot of details about his business model and how he started with a bed and breakfast. I can now see why the staff here are so happy. He took care of his staff during the Covid shutdown and I could really sense the family environment they have fostered here. Be aware there are not pets allowed here. While we were here someone tried to sneak in a dog and was removed from the resort. I respect that the owners enforce their rules. I know the love animals as he shared they have four dogs and three cats but as a pet owner myself I really appreciate trying to keep your rooms in perfect condition and the room we had was very well cared for. Loved the open pantry for snacks and the availability of drinks. The owner is the bartender and he stays at the bar as long as you need him which I found impressive. My wife and I rarely visit the same spot twice but this place is an exception. We will be back.

Echo Canyon Resort is so easy to find yet is isolated and you quickly find yourself immersed in pure quiet and peace. My wife and stayed in the Cabernet Castle. Although we saw no other rooms while we were there, we highly recommend this fantastically beautiful suite. With a high end Jason Jacuzzi right in the room. The picture on their website is exactly spot on. I requested rose petals and the wow factor was through the roof. It may sound simplistic, but my wife loved this extra touch. On our balcony were a couple of comfortable rocking chairs, a patio chair and a table. We watched deer and racoons from our balcony come by to eat and just kind of wander around. The couples massage was truly relaxing. It was my wife's first professional massage and she was a tad nervous, but the therapist quickly put her to ease and my wife said it was amazing!
The dinner was an experience in itself. It's a set menu and changes day to day. We had Prime cut Filet, Roast Duck and Alaskan Halibut flown in from Alaska. All three! Mercy. Yes we each got a box to take with us what we could not finish. The food was presented wonderfully and very tasty!
Joe and Carol Van Horn, the owner/operators are so down to earth. It was easy to talk with them and we walked away feeling as though we made two new friends. Please go! You will love it. This was a truly amazing escape for us. Thank you Joe and Carol for doing what you do.

Let me praise the staff, who upon arrival and throughout your stay are pleasant, very helpful, friendly and gracious. Each person was a high point of our stay.
Food is incredible. Breakfast divine. Fresh, tasty and more than one can eat. There is a reason for the mini refrigerator in your room. And dinner…again, words are inadequate, you simply need to sit back, and savor every morsel. Yet, as with breakfast, way more than one can eat. So bring an empty cooler to take your leftovers home and continue to enjoy.
The views and grounds are lovely. Often one sees deer and other wildlife just steps away. Step out on your deck, enjoy coffee in the early morn, and observe the birds, the deer and whatever might wander across the grounds.
The spa offers so many options for pampering yourself. Massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and more.
The bar is cozy and fully stocked. Relax and enjoy is truly the mantra.
Each room is unique and different. Comfortable and relaxing. Yet for us, the rooms need updating for the rates charged. Doubt decor has been changed since first designed many, many, many years ago. Our bathroom was in dire need of upgrades. Overall clean, but very tired looking. The tile grout was less than appealing and upon inspection, was in real need of power cleaning. Again for the nightly rate charged, do some major updates, otherwise the bathroom is comparatively to a really inexpensive motel. The dated, tired cliche room decor and less than appealing bathroom is the reason for our average rating for Echo Canyon.
Again, staff - top rated. Food, first class. Grounds, beautiful and inviting.

This little sanctuary is amazing! Upon arrival you will be personally greeted and given a tour of the property. Dakota gave our tour and instantly made us feel welcome! We were on our honeymoon and every staff member made sure to congratulate us and make our stay extra special. Be sure to make dinner reservations as you won't want to miss the exquisite, three entree meal to be served by the most courteous waitstaff in a quaint dining room filled with soft lighting and music. The decor throughout the resort is elegant and unique, obviously selected with great thought and care. You can enjoy a drink in a quiet bar as well as visit the kitchen for complimentary snacks and drinks of great variety at any hour. You will have everything you need in your room including a jacuzzi bathtub, plenty of hot water, candles, mineral salts, and plush robes. We did not have to ask for anything as there were plenty of extra towels and toiletries tucked away in the beautiful full sized bathroom equipped with a great shower and make-up vanity. We unfortunately, did not get to try the spa due to time constraints but toured the area which was very clean and offered an extensive menu of services in which we will surely take full advantage of on our next stay! We didn't want to leave when check-out rolled around but got to meet Carol, the owner who truly cared to know how we felt about our stay. I just cant say enough good things about our amazing experience at Echo Canyon Spa Resort! Enjoy!!

The food servers are required to wear masks. I’m not sure if food can be brought to the room or not.
Adults only.
There are many restaurants in Ardmore that are very good. Or, if I remember correctly the resort will pack you a picnic basket and you can go and have a picnic on the grounds. The breakfast they serve is very hardy. I hope this helps.
