A very nice room with comfortable bed. Patio off of bedroom (shared with two other rooms). The building is old (a former church) and could use some TLC but the rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast was great. Nona is a fantastic cook. Met the most interesting people during our stay.

We have stayed in many B&B, but never one in a converted church! What a unique idea and fun experience! The rooms have lots of space, lots of charming, antique furniture with lots of dressers for your clothes. The breakfast table was beautifully set, and in what would have been the main part of the church. The food was not... More

My Husband and I visited for long weekend trip for my birthday. we stayed in the "Wisteria Gardens" room which is the smallest of the 5 and has private bathroom separate from the actual room. It sounds strange to have you bathroom not be in your room but it actually was fine. There was only one other couple staying there... More

Victorian Rose has charm oozing from its architecture...it's conversion from a beautiful old church into a B&B was a grand idea. The question is: how much are you willing to pay for this old church charm? We checked in with Nona...she was delightful and accommodating. At check-in, she indicated what time breakfast would be and what she would be serving... More

The owners have done a wonderful job of converting an old church into a B&B. The room was quite clean and comfortable even though everything in it was antique. Everywhere you looked in the room and the building there was something interesting to see. The location is fantastic with only a few blocks to walk to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast... More

My husband & I stayed here for 8 days in July 2015. We had stayed at this B&B a few years ago on our first trip to Ventura, which we enjoy for its nice beaches & laid-back & friendly atmosphere. Grant Park, a nearby park up in the hills, is also great for hiking. The B&B is in a great... More

This is a lovely old church that has been converted into a B&B. It only has five rooms, but they are all unique and very well done. Our room, the "Fleur de Lis" was a great place for the night. Lots of antiques, a brass bed, a/c, and a door to the large back patio (shared with 2 other rooms)…..... More

This is a quaint and quirky spot, good for one night. The breakfast was excellent! Each room has it's own unique character, and some are very nice. Can be a bit noisy, it is in an old church, but lot's of conversation pieces around!

You can't help but like the charm of this building and the hosts were wonderful. The rooms were disappointing however with cobwebs and dust galore. It really needs a good cleaning. We were also disappointed that there was no wine offered as advertised. Nona explained that the State now prevents them from serving wine so they were going to change... More

My cousin and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Victorian Rose Bed and Breakfast recently while in Ventura for my daughter's bridal shower. We booked the Emperor's room and it was every bit as charming and descriptive as the website stated, including the 15' spiral staircase. Unfortunately for me, I was struck with the scary experience of... More
