#1 of 69 hotels in Little Rock
Travelers' Choice
“…it is a capital enterprise located in a capital building…and I trust will prove a capital success…” These words, we lovingly refer to as the first Capital Idea, inspired the birth of a hotel that has remained Little Rock’s “front porch” for 140 years. Since the 1876 debut many other Capital Ideas have found their way into the hotel through numerous renovations and the most recent full restoration completed in 2007. The culmination is the uncompromising comfort and convenience of a modern luxury hotel without any compromise of its rare historic character. The inspiration for our customer service is our dedication to personal attention and care often found when visiting friends and family. Instead of rehearsed scenarios, guests are personally greeted, welcomed, and immersed in an approach to service we call Southern Comfortable. Not surprisingly, “Be Huggable” is regarded as the North Star of our core values.

Incredible Hotel. Great location and walkable to many of the sites in Little Rock. Stephen and Matt at the front desk ALWAYS pleasant and a smile on their face for the entire three-day stay for our first-time visit to Little Rock. Extremely accommodating. They were able to get us whatever we needed. They did so without hesitation. Matt opened our eyes to spicy pecan nuts they have at the hotel which we recommend if you like spicy! Benjamin in the dining room was also very pleasant and accommodating with whatever we we needed. Aymen, Hunter and Emma also very helpful. Very relaxing and enjoyable and we will return to Little Rock because of the hotel accommodations.

Hotel staff was excellent, very kind and helpful in all areas. Hotel is beautiful, inside and out. Our room was very clean and the bed was excellent. We only got to stay one night but would have loved to stayed longer. The hotel location is great.

My wife and I have become "hotel snobs" and enjoy staying at hotels such as the Capital Hotel. This was the first time we had the opportunity to stay & we had a suite for a couple of nights. Of course we knew it would not be a bargain but it was honestly worth the price. The hotel with valet parking for two nights cost a tad over $700. The staff is simply outstanding. I won't go into the details but I had a medical issue that came up in the night and "Jonathan" (I believe he was a valet) and the young lady working the front desk were incredibly helpful and went well beyond any expectation or duty to help me. In fact, if the hotel was a dump, which it is not, I would still rate the property this high due to the staff. I hope the hotel takes good care of their employees because I would steal them if I could. A couple of areas that could be improved - there was no hotel directory in our room and one would have been helpful. We didn't know what services were offered. The only restaurant that was open in the hotel was their version of a sports bar. The fine dining room was still closed due to COVID. The sports bar service was adequate but not brag worthy and the same is said about the food. Another negative, but not the fault of the hotel... downtown Little Rock by all appearances is not safe in the evening or at night. We decided shortly after arriving that we would not walk to our event venue that was a 10 minute walk away - we arranged a car. The next time I am in Little Rock I will stay at the Capital.

Great place great food! The crispy Brussels’ sprouts were excellent. The friendliness and amazing language skills of Daton in the restaurant were exceptional… best customer service ever. The hotel was very quiet for Labor Day, the staff was great.

I was charged an extra $163 for damage or scratches to the television. I want to tell you that this charge is Criminal. I want to tell you that this charge is bogus. These people should be shut down for trying to do this. Stay away from this hotel I don't care how many people are telling you it's a great place to stay. I'm not sure who they choose to do this too.
