I booked a block of 14 rooms for a baseball team and they never mentioned that the pool was closed. I arrive at the hotel, checked in, ran to our room so my two kids could change into their swim suits and go swim. Get to the pool and closed. I go to front desk to ask to switch hotels so my kids can swim and they will NOT without charging me for the room we were in for 5 minutes. Thanks for ruining my kids night. In addition, the entire hotels smells really musty.

In general the hotel is just OK. Rooms are a comfortable size but, could use an update. Wall paper coming off walls in bathroom. Halls were dirty and in desperate need of a vacuum. Beds were comfortable. All this said, we were traveling with family and dogs. We booked 4 rooms. The staff made sure we were all located close to each other. Very nice people that did their best to make our stay good. Unfortunately the pool was also closed. We were told that it was due to recent bad weather. They had been unable to clean pool. That was disappointing. For a dog friendly hotel, it’s a good stop

The exterior has been updated with stone, making it look modern. It's difficult to know where to initially park and find the front entrance because the property is located on a hill with parking at different ground levels. The interior has some updates as well, but with old-school hotel remnants. My 20-year-old son, who has traveled extensively, had never seen a hotel room with an interior door for connecting to an adjoining room. Our room was rather dark with dark furnishings. There are no wall or ceiling lights (except the bathroom), and table lamps lighting was barely adequate. Beds were comfortable. We could hear people walking around on the floor above. Directing water from the tub to shower head was not intuitive. You have to pull down on the tub spout. Wall electrical receptacles were sparse and all lamps had receptacles in the base of the lamp, but both of our USB charges would not fit because of spacing (see photo). Door card reader from the lower parking lot was finicky. The shower head was loose when adjusting the spray pattern. The complimentary shampoo & lotion were very nice. Overall, I would prefer a newer property and one with free breakfast. I chose this property based upon price and other reviews and was somewhat disappointed.

After my horrible experience with bed bugs at the Embassy, My coworker and i came to this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The girl at the front desk that night was rude but appeared to be training another gentleman. That morning we paid for breakfast, and even though it was a long wait it was really good. The Front desk supervisor that morning was very cheerful and extremely professional.

Let me begin by saying, I don't write hotel reviews. This "special" hotel experience made me so frustrated that I wanted to voice my concerns to other fellow patrons. As I was approaching my room, the hallway had a strong odor of marijuana. To my surprise, when I arrived to my room, it also smelled strong of Marijuana. I noticed the bed sheets also looked ruffled as if someone has used the bed. I went back down to front desk and they apologized and offered me another room on another floor. This time, I noticed suspicious characters on their phones in the hallway. It made me feel a bit unsafe. Once in the room, there was a large brown stain on the ceiling. Water leak maybe? The bath tube had rust around the edges and wallpaper was peeling up in the corners. There were black and red stains on the carpet throughout the room and the closet doors would not open and squealed loudly. To make matters worse, I could hear loud music and several people talking next door and/or above me throughout the majority of the night, making good quality sleep impossible. I had a long conversation with front desk in the morning and they mentioned the hotel has new owners who are aware of the condition of the hotel, but have no plans to address it. The property really needs some type of security on the weekdays. Needless to say, very dissatisfied and I should have stayed at the Courtyard next door. The extended stat hotel next door is probably even a better option.
