Our stay at La Quinta was memoprabel, but not in a good way. We had planned on staying a few nights at this hotel. When we entered, it smelled moldy and old. I cleaned the register as there was brown fur growing from the vents. We should have left then. However, we were tired and had traveled a long airline...

Dear badesigns, Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the leak in your room. The leak came from a shower 2 floors above yours, and according to our staff, was only a drop at a time. We also offered you an empty room to shower in, which was cleaned and checked for you. We do apologize for this...

A second stay for my wife and I. After a nice train ride to MSG, a two-block walk down 32nd st. to the hotel was easy. We were greeted by Tom at the desk who was friendly and informative. He briefly explained all the amenities and gave a map of Manhattan marking the hotel's location, which was very helpful. Our...

I stayed in this hotel last year! The rooms weren't too big but this is NYC we are talking about. Other than that rooms were clean and comfortable, they also had a pretty decent continental breakfast, staff was nice and helpful, and the location of this hotel was just perfect! Close to everything and the subway it's just around the...

Excellent hotel for the price. All the things you need for a break in New York, and the free safe in your room and same day luggage storage, also free wi-fi were a nice touch as everywhere else i've been charge extra for these things. Location could not have been better as you are central to everything with a view of...

It's a decent, clean hotel located within walking distance from Penn Station, the Empire State Building and Herald Square. It's not too expensive and all of the major subway lines are within two blocks away. I totally recommend it if you're on a budget.

We had a great time with our 2 adults daughters and their partners. Thinking of the trash whole around the world, and the milieu it should be better not to use so many disposable things at breakfast.

The best thing of this hotel is its location. The staff is not very gratefull and sometimes rude. The breakfast is a normal continental breakfast and the breakfast room is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy tiny for a lot of people.

Having the Herald Square Subway station less than a block from this hotel is the best selling point,as we used the subway exclusively to get around, and then to have a light breakfast included got us started each morning. Our room the first night was a 2 queen bed room as the king we requested was "leaking". It was small,but...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
