The La Quinta is an older building completely renovated by the Apple Core Hotel group. Check-in was quick and efficient. The elevators are small and slow. I had an 8th floor room with queen size bed. The room was spotless and the bed linen including the comforter was clean and fresh. The room size is very small with modern furnishings...

I didn't actually get to stay here. I had to cancel my stay due to hurricane Irene. Because I never received a confirmation of my stay, I didn't know cancellation was due by 3:00 pm. on the day prior to arrival (my fault, I should have looked into it). I called at 4:00 pm just after a long chat with...

We just stayed at this hotel for a night in the city. We were very pleased with the property. It was so close to Penn Station. Also, it was a short walk toTime Square and other attractions as well as being steps from a subway line. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. I loved seeing the Empire...

We stayed here during a tour of the US in june 2011. When we tried to check in we found they had given our rooms away because my card details had changed. My card details HAD changed but i'd informed La quinta inns a few weeks earlier and they said there would be no problem. The office staff had said...

Dear Jimbo2525, Thank you for your review. We apologize for any inconveniences you faced with us. When a credit card is declined, we cancel the reservation; this is our policy. We typically e-mail our international guests when there is a credit card problem because international guests are generally in transit the day before their arrival. As a courtesy, the General...

I don't want to be repetitive considering everybody's said the same thing about elevators, food, and so on. So additional things would be that we requested a crib and it was nice not to worry about packing that. They brought us your standard graco pack and play with a few extra crib sheets. If you're picky about the sheets fitting...

Most New York City hotels are expensive. But this one is affordable. The location is convenient, close to the Empire State Building, and it's fun and interesting to walk through Koreatown every time you step outside. (If you stay here, you should have at least one Korean meal!) The rooms are pleasant, though not large. The lobby and breakfast area...

They let us check in early, their complimentary breakfast was good and you can take it up to your room if you'd like as well. The bed spreads were clean and they had memory foam mattresses, which were awesome. I didn't know that it was in Koreatown when i booked it, but it was awesome and it was around the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
