The hotel is well located, in a very tourist area in the center of midtown. It does not have breakfast but offers free coffee and there are machines to load water. Ideal for travelers who want to stay in a good area at a good price
The Hotel is located in a great area, only a short walk from the subway stations and not far from Times Square (but also not too close). We arrived 3 hours early and were checked into our room straight away, a guy in the lobby also gave us a map of the city and marked the hotel on there for us. The room wasn't huge but it was more than enough space for us. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room, as well as free tea and coffee plus a fitness room in the basement. The hotel provides free WiFi, and the lobby also has computers and a printer for you to use. During our stay there were issues with the hot water, however this was resolved within the same day and the hotel also refunded us for the facilities fee, even though this was only a minor inconvenience. Our experience was extremely positive with the Hotel at Fifth Avenue, and this will definitely be our first choice when we visit next time! …
Staff very helpful, courteous, helpful and fast response, The room curtains - couldn't really close and the furniture needed dusting. The exrra charges per day up and above price already paid was $40.00/per day. Found I was overcharged per day.
Clean room (if uneven mattress). A very good economical hotel with very friendly and helpful staff - I'm very grateful! Near a number of good Korean restaurants, within 10 mins' walk of Macy's and Tic Toc Diner
My husband and I were supposed to fly into NYC on March 16 and stay at the Hotel At Fifth Ave. We had booked a non-refundable room via a third party (ExpediaForTD). Both the hotel Manager (Raluca) Andy Reservations Manager (Kevin R) were outstanding in their support and assistance to help me try to refund our money. I exchanged quite a few emails and they did everything possible on their end to support us during the full week prior to our booking. We have since been able to have VISA start the process to reverse our payment to ExpediaForTD...especially since it has been impossible to reach anyone there for the past 6 days. All this to say, we so appreciated the professionalism and kindness extended by both individuals! It is during times of crisis that a company (and the leaders within it) build both credibility and good will with potential customers. We look forward to actually completing our trip to NYC when the global situation settles and it is safe to do so. You can be sure that we will absolutely be staying at Hotel At Fifth Avenue because of this wonderful experience! Sincerely, Lisa R…
