This beautiful hotel has been restored to perfection. The rooms are comfortable, but the best thing about this hotel is its location. Very close to Grand Central, near the park, and the subway so that getting anywhere in the city becomes accessible easily. The room rates are not exorbitant, which is unusual in NYC when the hotel is in a...

I had to ask to change rooms as the first room I had was damp and smelled awful. They moved me to anther room after two nights, which had the same smell and was damp and mouldy. The whole floor smelt of damp and mustiness. The air conditioning was very old and very noisey and would wake you up. After...

Typical to average pricing for Manhattan. Beautiful lobby with a great location. Once you get to your room on the slow elevators (especially around the dinner hour) it is a rather small room. The carpet needed replacing (a bit thread bare) and the bathroom could use a face lift. Hotel service and all employees that I met at the Roosevelt...

Myself and family stayed at this hotel from 24th July until 28th July 2011. The hotal is in a superb location and is within walking distance of a number of tourist attractions - Empire state building, grand central station, rockefeller centre, central park etc. The hotel has a very grand entrance and gives the impression of being a good quality...

We've stayed at this hotel a few times and keep coming back. Its in a great location and an easy walk to Times Square, Grand Central, 5th Ave shops and the Rockefeller center. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are comfortable. I love the lobby and the bar is a great place to relax and have a cocktail....

After arrived in the room # 948 we requested a change because carpet was disgusting and stinking. We finally obtained one... with an extra charge only. Is it normal to pay for that? Pricing is dark: if you pay for an internet access, the hotel will charge what is the higher amount seen by me: about 14$ per... device per...

This was a pretty good hotel, clean and comfortable. As other reviewers have pointed out, the bathroom was kind of small, but hey - it's NYC! The bed was very comfy, the aircon worked and we had no issues with street noise. We also had no hassle with the lifts and never had to wait too long. Can't comment on...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
