This hotel is great - if you are going to sleep in the lobby. Our recent stay, however, was an unhappy experience. Here are the reasons why: 1) The lifts to the upper floors were grossly inadequate and on two occasions my daughter and I had to use the stairs. 2) The room was small and the two double beds...

We stayed there for 5 nights last October and we really enjoyed the location (at the corner between Madison Av. and the 45th east) at walkable distance to Rockfeller Center, St. Patrick Church, Times Square and of course the 5th. Just in front the Central Station, you can easily reach all Manhattan and NY places. We were asked to leave...

I have traveled to NYC many times... this was my first stay at the Roosevelt. The biggest bonus was the spacious room and the ample lobby/bar area where I could hang out with friends outside of my room. The breakfast buffet was fresh, and the service friendly. The Roosevelt is located close enough to walk to the theaters, the shopping...

We were little hesitant after reading some of the reviews on this hotel. The Midtown location was perfect, we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The bathroom was small and the room was dark, but we made it work. We ended having to extend out stay...

Thank you for your great review and comments. We are so happy that we help make your stay, during hurricane Sandy, safe and warm. You are correct, many of the employees, during thie pierod of time, worked double and triple shifts (daily) to help ensure our guests comforts. Thanks for your valuable feedback.

I sure enjoyed my stay at the Roosevelt! Great service. Small room but nice and clean. I do not know what the rack rate is for this room but my corporate rate made it a little easier to take but as most of us know hotels in New York are just plain expensive! This place is in the heart of...

I wish I could give 3.5 stars for this property. The hotel is in a great convenient location in Midtown, next to Grand Central and 3 Long blocks to Times Square. The rooms were clean and the staff was the best. All we encountered were the most friendly hotel staff ever. The lobby was great for meeting our group. The...

But thats where the good news ends ! Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
